Recently, the idea of being well-known has been a hotly debated issue on the mass media. For many people, especially young adults want to be cover of magazine or superstar. However, there are pros and cons of this. In this essay, I will discuss both positives and negatives of being famous figure and give my own opinion with real-life examples.

On the one hand , being famous has certain positives for individuals who are recognized worldwide. To begin with, well- known people can earn much money doing their jobs or professions. It is mainly because prominent people may get huge amount of money for their employment. A good example here is Messi who earns much money compared to other job representatives. Furthermore, famous icons are respected by majority people. This is because their art, talent or sometimes good behavior are well- liked by many people. For instance, Bill Gates has got many followers because of his great business. Considering those, being famous figure has some benefits.

On the other hand, there are some negatives of being well-known icon. It is because majority of the idols do not have privacy which means they cannot avoid being victim of representatives of paparazzi and fans. For example, they are usually observed what they are eating, wearing and even with whom spending time. In addition, it is difficult for famous idols to find time for their family because they are quiet busy with their stuff. Take an example Enrique Iglesias. He has a family and rarely sees his daughter, Jane because of concerts and travels. This may lead to destruction of respect among the family members. Taking into account this, It has obvious cons of being famous figure.

In conclusion, even though to be representatives of famous figures is beneficial for people like earning much money and gaining respect, it might have negative effects on family interaction and privacy. In my opinion, to be recognized by many individuals have some plusses. By being financially confident, famous people can help poor people via donating huge amount of money.

To sum up, although being idol person has some merits by earning much money and respected by many followers, it has got some demerits such as not having privacy and much time for family. In my opinion, being well- known figure has some pros ,for example, they can travel all around the world by doing their job. This situation outweighs any cons.
