*The SAMSUNG TAB is used for e-version exams, thus each student must bring his/her own TAB to the exam.

Exam Format

Local students must be present at the campus and take an e-version exam in the TAB and paper based exams, exams will be in the different formats:

Business English Reading	e-version test including multiple choice questions
Business English Writing	Essay-Paragraph
Information Technologies 1	e-version test including multiple choice question
Introduction to Economics	e-version test including multiple choice questions
Calculus 1	e-version test including multiple choice questions

Assessment

1. 
   Each exam will be marked up to 100 points.
   
2. 
   Negative Marking applies for the e-version test including multiple types of questions: points distribution for the correct and incorrect answers are given in the exam guide of each subject below, but in every multiple type question there is an answer option of “No answer”( also might be “None of the above” or “Non of these”), it is worth 0 points.

   Number of questions varies by the subjects

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory, a student must bring his/her student ID card and must show it to the proctors before entering the exam hall. All exams will be held in Blue Hall.

Exam rules

Students should come to the exam room 20 minutes before the exam. Late students will be allowed to enter the exam if the subject professor, the head of Academic Affairs, and the proctor allow. If either of them does not agree, the student cannot enter the exam. Students should bring their ID cards with them. Students should leave all their unnecessary stuff (bags, books, notes, phones, laptops) in their lockers. If students have their stuff with them, they will be asked to leave them outside or at the end of the room in the designated area. Proctors will check the TABs 5 minutes before the exam Students are not allowed to open the test until the proctor allows it. The exam should start at the exact appointed time. Students are not allowed to use e-materials while taking an exam. Desks should be free from unnecessary items, such as books, notes, technology, food, water, clothes. Only TAB can be present. If a student is found with the phone or other electronic devices except for TAB during the exam (even though the student does not use it), it is considered an immediate failure of the exam. The use of any other item (ex., calculator) is not allowed unless requested by subject-specific professors. Cheating, talking to fellow students, and turning back are not allowed. Students should keep their TABS in front of them If students have any misunderstandings or questions, they should raise their hands, and proctors should assist them. An infraction to any of these rules will result in either a warning or your test being taken away. Students are not allowed to leave the exam room until they submit the test. Students should submit the test on time, otherwise, his/her answers will not be recorded at all. While leaving the exam room, students should not talk to each other.

Reminder for both online and offline exam taking students! BEFORE STARTING THE EXAM, STUDENT MUST DO FOLLOWINGS IN A TAB TO TAKE AN E-VERSION EXAM: Please check your WIFI/MOBILE internet connection in your TAB before entering the exam hall Exam link will be sent to student’s university email 2 or 3 minutes before starting the each exam Check the Akfa university account activation for both Gmail and Google Chrome in your TAB Clear google chrome browser history (Check the video: https://t.me/c/1340003514/603) Check updates for apps, namely for browser(Check the video: https://t.me/c/1340003514/604) BEFORE FINISHING THE EXAM, STUDENT MUST DO FOLLOWINGS: Click the SUBMIT AND CLICK AFTER FINISHING TEST buttons in sequence, otherwise, the student’s exam is not accepted.(Check the video: https://t.me/c/1340003514/602) SUBMIT button is to submit the test form and CLICK AFTER FINISHING TEST button is to submit proctoring system record Please finish your exam at least 3 minutes before the exam time is up to avoid various technical errors.

Exam guides for Freshmen

Introduction to Calculus, Fall 2020, Exam Format: e-version test 1. You are given 60 minutes overall for the exam. 2. In total, you are required to answer 45 questions. All of them are multiple-choice questions with 5 options. 2. Every question worth 2 points, at maximum you may earn 90 points. 3. Negative marking applies for all questions. If you answer correctly, you earn 2 points, and if you answer incorrectly, you will lose -0.5 points. It is recommended to answer a question only in the case if you know the correct answer. 4. There are 5 options for every question. Only ONE of the answers is correct. 5. For every question, the 5th option is named “No answer”. This option is NOT the correct answer. This means that you “don’t want“ to answer. If you don’t know the answer and do not want to guess the answer, then choose this option. No plus or negative points for this option. Additional Materials 7. You are recommended to bring a simple calculator with you to make calculations. Sharing calculators is strictly prohibited. 8. Bring a pen and pencil with you since you need to make a lot of calculations. 9. DO NOT bring a paper. You will be provided a special paper for your draft. 10. You need to write your ID and put your signature in the draft paper and show it along with your ID when you are leaving the exam room.

Business English Writing Exam Format: e-version paragraph 1. Writing a paragraph 2. 40 minutes will be given 3. Students must follow the guidelines written on the exam sheet 4. Student must bring his/her Laptop or TAB to write a paragraph

Business English Reading , Guides for Midterm Exam Exam Format: e-version Exam 1. You are given 60 minutes; 2. There are 50 multiple choice questions. Every question is worth 2 points. 3. There are 5 options for every question. Only 1 of the answers is correct. 4. The negative marking is applied for all questions in order to avoid the unfair distribution of points. 5. Every incorrect answer is -0.5 points. 6. For every question, the 5th option is named “No answer”. This means that you don’t give an answer to this question, and consequently no plus or minus points. Coverage: Market Leader Course book (Units 1-7); PowerPoint slides and/Kahoots,weekly quizzes.

Information Technologies 1: Exam Format: e-version Exam; 1. Duration 50 minutes; 2. Type: 50 multiple choice questions. Every question is worth 2 points, 2-5 options for every question. 3. Only 1 of the answers is correct. 4. The negative marking is applied for all questions in order to avoid the unfair distribution of points. 5. Every incorrect answer is -0.5 points. 6. For every question, the last option is named “Do not know”. This means that you don’t give an answer to this question, and consequently no plus or minus points.

Introduction to Economics, Fall 2020, Guides for the Midterm Exam Exam Format: e-version test 1. You are given 40 minutes overall for the exam. 2. In total, you are required to answer 25 questions. All of them are multiple-choice questions with 5 options. 3. Every question worth 4 points, at maximum you may earn 100 points. 4. Negative marking applies for all questions. If you answer correctly, you earn 4 points, and if you answer incorrectly, you will lose -1 points. It is recommended to answer a question only in the case if you know the correct answer. 5. There are 5 options for every question. Only ONE of the answers is correct. 6. For every question, the 5th option is named “No answer”. This option is NOT the correct answer. This means that you “don’t want“ to answer. If you don’t know the answer and do not want to guess the answer, then choose this option. No plus or negative points for this option.
