ESSAY BUSINESS


At this fast changing world a lot of businesses and governments of different countries strive to react to these changes in time. Uzbekistan is not an exception. It is home to various sized, from small to big, companies. And they, undoubtedly, with the government leaders should meet the challenges of the twenty first century. In this essay, one of the well-known factories of Uzbekistan, the "YSK" will be the center of our focus. I will try to analyze every aspects of the YSK, as well as its importance to people, internal environment and its stakeholders.

As we know, majority of companies sometimes specialize more than one type of product. However, the YSK particularly produces clothes and mostly deals with retailing. One thing here to mention is that the age or gender of the customer is not a problem that people, like you and me, have to be concerned about. They have more than two thousand types of clothes with different colors, sizes and style in their collection. We can find any clothes for every member of our family. Though we have more opportunity in the children's clothing for it constitutes more than fifty five per cent of the whole products of the Ysk. It was established in 2006 by a young family of that time, Suyunova Iroda and Beknazarov Sherzod, and nowadays owners of Alvon supermarket. It seems, the logos history is altogether another story. When it was time for them to pick a brand for their business they wholeheartedly supported the Yaskanamu which is the nickname they called their little daughter, Jasmin. The Ysk's main office is in the sixth block Chupan Ota Street, Chilanzar District. However, to create convenience for their customers, the owners opened several markets as their subsidiaries, in Yunusabad, Charsu, TTZ and other places. To this day Yaskanamu has more than 15 chains of markets. As for its characteristics, they boast with their quality and one-hundred-percent-cotton textile. The products are not only comfortable but also quite stylish. At the beginning of 2000, there were not many textiles in Uzbekistan. Considering the fact that, until the Independence we were the only supplier of raw material, which was cotton in our case, for USSR. And it is not a secret that raw material's price is way more lower than the ready-to-use products. The Ysk wanted to be the one who could turn the events. They saw the chance not only to make personal profit but also to create job opportunities and benefits to the society. Businesses, foremost, increase the standard of living. Citizens of Uzbekistan can be more selective, now that, there are several small businesses in the textile world of our country. Without much doubt, we can say that if you want to feel comfortable and at ease in our daily life you should think about your choice of clothing carefully. For the people with sensitive skin or allergic ones to some artificial materials clothes made of wholly cotton can be simply a life saver. Besides these obvious facts, the YSK also help the society by taking part in charity works, such as contributions to the orphanage, the house of disabled people, etc. Furthermore, their markets also offer different amount of discounts to accommodate people's needs and naturally their purse. Another benefits that the Ysk attributes is that consumers can see that in every market of the set you come across clothes of different brands. It means that they also support newly established factories that are attempting hard to find their respective places in the textile business. To my humble perspective, that is the vital help for the business in their early phase.

Internal environment of the company or any business includes the components within the boundaries of the said company. We can include in it the culture of the corporate, from owners to its employees, their objectives, as well as its value system. Management styles and corporation culture are the two most important factors that can determine the future of every business. If the managers are regarded as the people with outstanding leadership to guide the employees toward their certain goals, the organizational culture is the air they breath, the belief that empowers them at every turn. Statistics show that Asian countries and China mostly choose the authoritative management style. The Ysk is one of them. The owners The Beknazarovs, consider that this style of managing has its advantages. One them is when there is exact goals set by the leaders. This managing type leaves almost no worry to the employees as their duty is clarified. However in the Ysk the workers' opinions on the any field, let it be improvement about packaging or the emblems no matter, is accepted quite warmly. In short, employers can be open and participatory if they want it. Nowadays the Ysk provides more than one hundred and fifty job opportunities to the people and they encourage them to express their innovative suggestions. As the set of the markets increases the number of employers is rising with it too. Human resources can give a company the edge in this competitive business world. So choosing the right employer is overly essential. During the interview of an applicant to the job they also try to pay attention their personality. Owing to the fact that the extroverts tend to get along with people more easily than the introverts, thus, it is the quality that should be found in a sales assistant. To keep the atmosphere of the working environment warm and friendly the Ysk organizes workshops for their employees. And also you can not refuse the fact that these workshops help them understand their jobs better and at the same time to know their employers more. Because Beknazarov Sherzod himself overlooks these particular workshops. These lessons put emphasis on the significance of consumers loyalty and attracting more new customers. As Sherzod Beknazarov said that the employers who went through these courses interact with costumers and identifies, as well as, reacts to their need better than the ones who didn't undergo the courses. Another ritual of corporate culture is that they, the whole Ysk from the owners to the employers, celebrate even little achievements as though they were the huge ones. Needless to say they were not fruitless. The factory's today's status shows that they, indeed, were very helpful. In order to overcome more and more challenges companies, suffice to say, go to great length. And at the same time they will not break their values system, business policies and practices. Values system of an organization, it is no of importance whether it is profit or non profit, is set of principles of right and wrong that guides the members of organizations to obtain the goals. The Ysk strongly believes that the mentality and uniqueness of Uzbekistan should be ,in a way, a foundation of any business. Considering the fact that they mostly deal with the textile industry they are of opinion that not all contemporary fashion suits the tastes of our people or the way of our life. Another part of internal environment of the organization is its physical resources and technological capabilities. As Sherzod Beknazarov said in his interview in the "Business Laboratory" that modernizing markets' accounting system with the lates computers led to the improvement of efficiency in the accounting of the factory in general. It also resulted in saving some costs and enhancing the productivity of workers.

The future of a company interests not only the owners, but stakeholders as well. Costumers, employers, suppliers, shareholders, community and government are entwined with the pace of the said company's development. It can be argued that every business's motive for their existence is to provide service or product to the costumers and making profit out of it. Costumers' opinion of the Ysk is that the quality and the price of the product is satisfactory and the service also helps to make the experience of buying this clothes rather pleasant. As l interviewed 6 people about the products of Ysk, it seems that four of them consider it a market with products of high quality. One answered that she likes only some of the goods while the other announced that she is totally indifferent when it comes to this brand. Besides costumers, suppliers also play major role in any business, especially in the Ysk. They have contracts with different small factories, such as Bytex, Wonderwear and others. Suppliers are indirectly affected by the company's development. According to the Iroda Suyunova I her interview with Nargiza Karimova in the TV programm called "Muvaffaqiyatim sirlari" they supply markets depending on the sale. The amount of the goods is not big, maybe this is the reason of their fast reaction to the changes. They, Iroda Suyunova and Sherzod Beknazarov, could not stress it enough that they learned from their mistakes, and that is why it took them so long to get where they are now( 'Start up club' TV program). However, the community and government can not be more appreciative of their patience and persistence. Now that the Ysk employs about hundreds of people. As Nickels and McHugh stated in their book called 'Understanding business', the standard of living and quality of life depend on whether or not there is any developed company in that area. The main reason is that the taxes they collect from the companies corporate income, from employers can be put to good use, such as reconstructions of government buildings, public places and others. As for the community, the Ysk both provides a good number of employment opportunities, takes care of the welfare of their workers and produces environment friendly, non-allergic clothes to the soft skin of our little children. As these all of the mentioned stakeholder, i.e. customers, suppliers, community and government are regarded as the external stakeholders. The only internal stakeholders are the owners and employees.

In summary, l would like to point out that the growth in the numbers of successful businesses can not be without the affect to the country or if the business is big and well-known enough, to the world's economy. Since we have been, hopefully, well informed about the Ysk and its impact on the ones surrounding it, it does not leave an ounce of doubt for the ineffectiveness of business in our life.
