APPELLATION D’ORIGINE CONTROLEE : Appellation Saint Emilion Grand Cru. GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION : Saint Sulpice de Faleyrens. These
vineyards were the property of a very old family which owned an illustrious castle in Saint Emilion. AREA PLANTED : 2.7 hectares. YIELD : 48 hectolitres per hectare. PRODUCTION : 3,000 bottles. SOIL TYPE : sandy clay and gravel. PRUNING METHOD : Single Guyot. GRAPE VARIETY : 80% merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. VINE AGE : 25 years. MATURING : barrels. VINIFICATION : Traditionnal in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, a long vat period and frequent pumping over. BOTTLING : 18 months after the harvest. FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS : This full-bodied and expressive wine is the perfect accompaniment for meat and cheese. TASTING NOTES: The robe (vine's appearance) of a Chateau Dubourg is beautiful, lively and sustained, the palate is full bodied and structured.
