Flatiron on Tuesday

The first day of the winter came and snow. All over was white due to snow. Pa constantly goes early and came late because he desire caught wild animals to his family. One morning he went with his hourse. He had gunfire. Mary and Laura perceive this and jumped clapped their hands. They didn’t now what he had, bear or pig. When he came Pa had either. He said what has occurred. When he came back to abode and he rambled around the tree coated with snow, close the tree was bear too. Bear had a pig on his hand. He had just slayed and was arranging to eat. But Pa gunfired that bear and he didn’t now where swine came and whose swine this. So he just took them and went to home. This bear and swine was good food to eat in the winter. And enough flesh for a long time. Pa frozed the meat. When Ma require to cook with pure meat she asked it at Pa. Pa took the knife and chop frozen bear meat and pork. If Ma require to sauseges balls or the salt pork or smoked ham or venison, Ma could get this from the attic.
Mary and Laura remained at home when Pa went to chase and they help to Ma. They could scrub dishes and clean the room. One morning when they get up and they saw in the window was frozen picture. And they asked it at Ma. She said Jack Frost came at night and drew those painting while we sleep. Laura fancied he puts on a white things and he hadn’t weapon on his shoulder. When she came nearer to the window the picture run to water. Every morning they were swab dishes. Mary swab the dishes more than Laura due to she was bigger. When they all completed their work Ma begined poem about days and their works, like this:
“ Scrub on Monday,
Flatiron on Tuesday,
Repair on Wednesday,
Whip on Thursday,
Dustless on Friday,
Cook on Saturday,
Relax on Sunday.”
Ma liked when her foods look beautiful. In the winter the cream wasn’t yellow as it was in summer. Ma liked everything on her table to be pretty and she colored the butter.
Everything is good but Laura loved evenings due to Pa approached to home. And he played with her two daughters. The game mud dog. Pa should picked up his daughter and they were ran at him. One day Pa picked up them like this: he bawled at full volume two sister were terrored at him. They run close the woodbox and Pa picked up them. Mary couldn’t move because she terrored. But Laure jumped above the woodbox hauling Mary. But Pa caught them. And he told them the story about grandpa and the panther.
