Sarah Jio is international, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of ten novels. This book “All the flowers in Paris” is also well written. She gives all love to that novel. If you read it, it demands to think deeply and such kind of questions would come automatically.
My favourite character is Celine because her life is full of questions, dangers and risks. I lived with all characters in the story. Sometimes I cried and sometimes I was very happy because of them. Every character has own place, story and life. Celine is good mother and daughter. She comes across a lot of problems during her life. One scene makes me think deeply and cry. The bad German Officer his name is Reinhardt takes her to his home. One bad thing is Cosi (her daughter) also follow her. She lives Reinhardt apartment like the bird in cage. She has a lot of pains for instance her parents and also her close friend Suzette were die and her boyfriend was far away. But she is a tolerant woman, she tries to live or survive for Cosi and herself. It is easy to say but if you feel her life, you don’t say like this. She is a perfect mother, because she tries to hide Cosi from Reinhardt and the housekeeper because if they find her, he will kill both of them. She finds such kind of ways to feed her daughter. A lot of sentences couldn’t describe my feelings about her and her life. Even she thinks to commit suicide, one day she opens the window in her room and gazes, she wants to jump and all pains would end. But she thinks about Cosi and keep on.
I dislike about the book is Reinhardt. The bad German Officer. He describes like a monster in my imagination. He doesn’t love any woman but he hurts them. Unfortunately, there is nobody or no rule to punish him. One thing I have never thought about him, at the end of story he kills himself easily. But I want he gets punishment and to brutally killed. He hurt Celine a lot. I think after some days later he will begin to love and appreciate Celine, but It was only my hope. Even he heard that Celine is pregnant, he may be turn to good man, good father and good husband but he keeps going.
I have never thought about ending would be like this. When I reach the ending, I gripped quickly because I do want to know about what happened at the end. I do want to end with happiness but Caroline’s life end with happiness but Celine’s with death.
Overall the book is full of secrets, wonders, questions. During reading you will get all of them. At the beginning, you will bored a little, but keep reading all interests are ahead. I recommend you to read this book. I know you will never regret it.
