SOFTWARE
Software is a tool designed to perform a specific task on a computer. this is understood as a set of software and documentation tools for creating and using data processing systems with computer tools.
It was this software that killed the term "hard-iron" computer. Software is a collection of all programs used by a computer. In English, this term means software, i.e. "soft" - soft, "ware" - "product".
This is the program that is responsible for the execution of all the programs necessary for the proper functioning of the system. It's often confused with an operating system, but it's evolved to include optimization tools, device drivers, and servers, among other components
Software is divided into 3 groups: 1-System programs (it includes programs that perform various auxiliary tasks: Task Manager (available in Windows OS)), 2Application (it includes programs that provide the user with data processing and
processing in a specific field of use, for example: Microsoft Office, Adobe CC), 3Hardware programs (these are software).
Today, the production of software products, which is considered the basis of the development of the information and communication sector, is gaining special importance as an important condition for the development of the national economy. The effective use of information exchange technologies, which are actively used in every aspect of our life, depends on the originality, popularity and innovativeness of their software. Laws "On information provision", "On telecommunications", "On protection of exposure programs and databases" are gaining importance in the development of the industry.
Today, there is no field in our country where information and communication technologies have not penetrated. This, in turn, paves the way for consistent development of the software industry. In particular, there are currently more than 260 business entities engaged in the creation, production and implementation of software products in our country.
An algorithm for what would have been the first piece of software was written by Ada Lovelace in the 19th century, for the planned Analytical Enige. She created proofs to show how the engine would calculate Bernoulli numbers. Because of the proofs and the algorithm, she is considered the first computer programmer.
The first theory about software, prior to the creation of computers as we know them today, was proposed by Alan Turing in his 1936 essay, On Computable Numbers, with an Application to the Entscheidungsproblem (decision problem). This eventually led to the creation of the academic fields of computer science and software engineering; both fields study software and its creation. Computer science is the theoretical study of computer and software (Turing's essay is an example of computer science), whereas software engineering is the application of engineering principles to development of software.
In 2000, Fred Shapiro, a librarian at the Yale Law School, published a letter revealing that John Wilder Tukey’s 1958 paper "The Teaching of Concrete Mathematics" contained the earliest known usage of the term "software" found in a search of JSTOR’s electronic archives, predating the Oxford Engilish Dictionary’s citation by two years. This led many to credit Tukey with coining the term, particularly in obituaries published that same year, although Tukey never claimed credit for any such coinage. In 1995, Paul Niquette claimed he had originally coined the term in October 1953, although he could not find any documents supporting his claim. The earliest known publication of the term "software" in an engineering context was in August 1953 by Richard R. Carhart, in a Rand Corporation Research Memorandum.
Software development is a field that brings together professionals who develop computer programs. Some develop applications that manage tasks on a computer or computer-controlled device, while others develop core system software that manages networks or broader applications. They may be involved in developing
software for computer games, business applications, or medical devices. Those in this career path are adept at working with systems theory and understanding the technical limitations of the hardware they are developing software to control. Teams of experts work together on larger efforts, and software developers usually work closely with computer programmers. In some cases, developers write the code themselves instead of giving instructions to programmers.
