Travel Planning Departure from Turks and Caicos Turks and Caicos itineraries depart from Sapodilla Bay in Providenciales (Airport code: PLS). We recommend you plan on arriving no later than 3pm on Saturday in order to ensure a smooth boarding and departure. If you are staying overnight on either end of your trip, we recommend staying at Comfort Suites. ( www.comfortsuitestci.com 888-678-3483 ). Please contact our office with any questions or if you need to make other arrangements.
Arrival in Miami We will be arriving at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami, a quick 15 minute cab ride to Miami International Airport. The boat is located at 401 Biscayne Blvd behind the Bayside Market Place. At 7am on the following Tuesday morning Customs and Immigration will come to Juliet in Miami to clear us into the United States. After that you are free to move about the country. Check out time is 9am on Tuesday at which time we ask that you have all of your belonging out of your cabins to allow us to prepare for the next charter. Our repositioning trips can be some of the most exciting, adventurous, and challenging trips we run! We will cover around 500 miles in 11 days and some of the best diving the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos has to offer. Because we have to cover so much ground and Mother Nature is only so forgiving, we cannot guarantee 4 dives per day as in our normal itinerary. We also cannot guarantee beautiful weather and flat calm seas, or that we will always have islands to hide behind. In short, these repositioning trips are not for the faint of heart! But they are guaranteed to be unforgettable!
The Turks and Caicos is most famous for its spectacular wall dives, starting at 40’ and dropping straight down to 1500’. Spotted Eagle Rays and sharks abound, as well as friendly grouper and many different species of eels. Night dives on the back reef rarely disappoint!
When diving in the Turks and Caicos we ask everyone to adhere to the strict no-take on SCUBA laws and regulations. Anything you take from the ocean must be done on breath-hold, including shells. About the Bahamas After we leave Turks and Caicos some spots on our normal itinerary include:
Great Inagua: low profile reefs with lots of macro, also the site of the Morton’s Salt flats and the largest population of pink flamingos in the Bahamas.
Conception Islands: an uninhabited island rarely dove by any divers, majestic walls and beautiful coral.
Eleuthra: home of Jakes Blue Hole, a small crack in a 25’ coral reef that flushes the reef with nutrient rich water daily and is one of the prettiest reefs in the Bahamas.
Nassau: Famous for its movie-star wrecks and a dramatic Blue Hole to the south.
Andros and the Berries: More rarely-dove spots, wrecks and interesting reefs abound.
Bimini Islands: our normal stomping grounds! Beautiful reefs and wrecks, clouds of beautiful tropical fish, many different species of charismatic megafauna (sharks, grouper, turtle, and maybe even some dolphins!), and tons of tiny macro life.
When diving in the Bahamas we ask everyone to adhere to the strict no-take on SCUBA laws and regulations. Anything you take from the ocean must be done on breath-hold, including shells. The only exceptions are trash (which there is thankfully very little of) and lionfish while on board Juliet.

Food and beverage On board you will be provided with three plated hot meals per day, snacks, and hors d’oevres, as well as sodas, juices, beer, wine and liquor. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions, preferences, or allergies so that we can best plan your meals.
Also please let us know if you or someone you are traveling with will be celebrating anything during your trip – a birthday, an anniversary, or even a landmark dive! We love cake just as much as you do.
We have an extensive DVD library and flat screen television in the main salon for entertainment during surface intervals or after your dive day. Feel free to bring any DVDs you’d like to watch or share on board! We also have Sirius Radio on board as well as ability to play your iPod or mp3 player on deck or in the salon.
Email: we have a dedicated satellite email address for the boat, so you have the ability to send emails in the event of an emergency, but will not be able to check your personal email account on board.

Shampoos and soaps: Each shower is equipped with soap and shampoo, and we have shampoo and conditioner on deck for post-dive showers. If you have personal preferences for shampoos and lotions, please bring them with you.

and underwater shots of you, your fellow dive buddies (human and otherwise), and your crew.
Ships Store: Logoed T-shirts, longsleeves, sweatshirts, hats are available on board for purchase (cash, check, Visa, MC, Discover).
At 7am on Friday morning Customs and Immigration will come to Juliet to clear us into the United States. After that you are free to move about the country. Check out time is 9am on Friday at which time we ask that you have all of your belonging out of your cabins to allow us to prepare for the next charter. If your flight is not until later in the day you are welcome to leave your luggage on board until your departure time while you sight-see in Miami. If you need assistance with ground transportation we can help you to arrange that.
Frequently Asked Questions Will I get seasick? Possibly, and if it is going to happen it usually occurs on the first day before you’ve grown your sea legs. If you have any concerns and are thinking of taking a Dramamine type product, it has been recommended that you start taking these products 24hrs prior to departure. Read the product label before use. www.julietsailinganddiving.com | john@sailjuliet.com | 1-866-5JULIET
How many / what kinds of dives will we do? On repositioning trip we cannot guarantee our usual 3-4 dives per day as we will have 500 miles to cover in 11 days, but we normally will average 23-28 dives on a 10 day trip, and night dives will be offered whenever possible. We often do a lot of exploring on these sites, so please keep an open mind. Whatever happens it will be an adventure not soon forgotten!
Water temperatures will change throughout the trip, typically will be around 77 in the Turks and Caicos and low to mid 70s in the Bahamas. We recommend you bring wetsuit layers!
Depending on your carrier, if we are in sight of inhabited land in the Bahamas or Turks and Caicos chances are good that your phone will work. However please contact your carrier ahead of time to discuss any charges you may incur by using your phone overseas.
Gratuities are at your discretion and are greatly appreciated. Industry standard recommends 10-15% of the cost of the trip. If you are at all dissatisfied with your experience on board, please do not hesitate to contact us or fill out a Charter Critique form online when you return from your trip.
