Subject: Kids’ English 4

Topic: Uzbek National Holidays

Level: A2

Time: 45 minutes

Aim:

  • To teach pupils new words, improve their listening, reading, oral speech and writing skills.

  • Enriching vocabulary of students which face on our daily life.

  • Be able to communicate with others about Uzbek National holidays.

  • To develop pupils’ personal skills, English learning, motivational skills, develop pupils’ self educational skills, develop to report own ideas

Objective:

  • To develop students integrated skills using activities.

  • Be able to think and speak about Uzbek National holidays.

  • To make pupils be aware of Uzbek national holidays and customs that people do in these holidays and enable them to get necessary information about them.

Learning outcomes: by the end of the lesson students should…

  • Be able to use from new words for communication in real life.

  • Be able to give their own opinion by the help of chosen topic.

  • To improve pupils’ personal qualities like behavior, education etc. to improve pupils’ self educational skills, analyzing and systematizing skills of knowledge, develop to report own ideas, communicative skills

Privacy competence:

  • To think about types of Uzbek national holidays and to analyze differences between holidays of Uzbek and English nation.

Communicative competence:

Methods: Direct, Communicative.

Materials: e-version of kids’ English, pictures, cards, blackboard, computer & projector to be booked, assignment handout, workbook, textbook, whiteboard pens, register, handouts, worksheet

Conclusion

I used Direct and Communicative method in this lesson plan. Because of using this method, It actually isn't that hard to use Direct method, but this method, like all good teaching methods it requires well-planned lessons. Direct method was developed by studying how children learn their native tongue. The general goal of the Direct Method is to provide learners with a practically useful knowledge of language. They should learn to speak and understand the target language in every situation.



Because of using Communicative method for Uzbek National holidays is in this method much more pupil-orientated, because it is based on pupil’s needs and interests. This method seeks to personalise and localise language and adopt it to interests of pupils. In this method children acquire grammar rules as a necessity to speak so is more proficient and efficient.
