Many people prefer to watch foreign films rather than locally produced films. Why could this be? Should governments give more financial support to local film industries?

It is true that the majority of people like more to watch films of other countries than films of their own country. There could be several reasons for this, and I believe that authorities should invest more to develop this sphere.

Many people find enjoyable foreign films because more money is spent on them and more famous actors and actresses participate. Firstly, the film industries in some countries have huge budgets for technologies, clothes and shooting scenes in different locations. For example, in Marvel films almost 70% of scenes are made by technologies, and apart from this, this company have their own big building for decorating and then shooting there. Secondly, a lot of famous stars work with these industries. In other words, once people watch these movies, they can enjoy with the talent of several famous people and with good scenario. For instance, local films are lack of good actors and sometimes it is hard to understand the meaning of them.
In my opinion, if governments invest more money, they can see increase in incomes from films and also in tourism. There are good specialists in almost every country, but for making good films they need financial support. It means, with the help of the government film industries will be able to shoot good movies and attract more people. More people watch them, more money will come. Apart from this, after watching the movie people may become interested in the locations, which were used in it. For example, in the USA there is Universal Studio’s park, and almost every person that visit America wants to visit this enjoyable place.
In conclusion, I believe that with the governments’ financial support local film industries can develop and make good films that can compete with foreign films.
