My favorite holiday

Ramadan Khait (Ruza Khait) is a celebration of spiritual and moral purification. The holiday begins after the completion of the Muslim fasting of Ruza, which lasts 30 days and is considered a rite of spiritual and moral purification. In the month of Ramadan, from sunrise to sunset, fasting should not take food and water, they should avoid bad thoughts. respect others and do good. Fasting is a must for every Muslim, helps him to strengthen his faith and teaches self-discipline. Fasting is allowed not to be observed only by seriously ill, children and people who are at that time on the way.

Ramadan Hait, as in other countries, begins with the morning Hait prayer (prayer).

After the prayer, the festival of Ramadan Hait begins, which lasts three days. Since 1992, the religious festival of Ramadan Hait in Uzbekistan has been declared a day off and is widely celebrated in the country. Both in the days of Ramadan Khait and in the days of Kurban Khait, preparations for the holiday begin the day before Khait and this day is called “Arafa”. On the day of Araf, in every Uzbek family, traditional flour products are prepared: “kush-tili”, “bogursok”, “orama”, “chak-chak” and others. In the evening, pre-holiday pilaf is prepared, which neighbors usually exchange with each other. Pilaf is placed in the kasu (a large ceramic bowl), which is decorated with flour products on top.
