Noun phrase transformation problems in translating the novel. Syntax, the arrangement of words in sentences, clauses, and phrases, and the study of the formation of sentences and the relationship of their component parts. In a language such as English, the main device for showing the relationship among words is word order. As for grammatical obstructions, run in front of translator, we should consider that the two languages: Uzbek and English are not familiar with each other. Only their alphabets are nearly the same besides some distinguishes of absence of some letters, such as, “w”, “c” in Uzbek and “g’”, “sh”, “ch”, “ng” and “o’” in English language or wide range of word usage to clear a meaning, but not grammar.
When the Uzbek language is agglutinative, English is not with its unchangeable word structure. It is shown in the sentences below.
Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.” [11, P.1]
Prayvt Drayv ko ’chasi 4-uyda yashovchi janob Durzley hamda uning rafiqasi ahvollarini aytishdan mamnunlar.” [13, P.4]
That is the first opening sentence of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone. We can give another version of translation with the help of changeable word structure in Uzbek:

  1. Prayvt Drayv ko ’chasi 4-xonadonda istiqomat qiluvchi janob hamda xonim Durzleylar hammasiyaxshi ekanligini aytishdan mag’rur.”

  2. Durzley xonim hamda Durzley janoblari Prayvt Drayv ko ’chasining 4-uyida umr guzaronlik qilishadi hamda ishlari joyidaligini aytishdan mag ’rur.”

However, Sh. Dolimov translated it with an intermediate language, from Russian that:
Odamovilar hiyobonidagi 4-uy sohiblari mister va missis Dursllar: - Xudoga shukurlar bo ’lsin-ki, xonadonimizdagi hayot mutlaqo me’yoriy tarzda kechmoqda, - deb maqtana olishlari bilan juda g’ururlanishadi.” [12, P.3]
Unfortunately, that offered pattern changed the proper noun “Private Drive” to “Odamovilar hiyoboni” which is prohibited in translation copyright of novels and like the variant of J. K. Solijonov, the translator didn’t pay attentions to the fact below. Whatever happens, translator has to be responsible to save each proper noun as its original one. Or else, the meaning could be more different than the writer expected.
After investigating the grammatical features of English we found out that if a writer changes the word order in English, he can vary the deep meaning of the separated phrase, like: “Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.”
By the means of the inversion and a coma writer achieved to attach " thank you very much " in this context is to imply "we don't appreciate you suggesting that we are abnormal, and we are offended, and we will thank you to mind your own business".
In this case, it would be nice to use some other versions: “O‘ziga bino qo‘ygan Durzley xonim hamda janoblari Prayvt Drayv ko’chasining 4-xonadonida umr guzaronlik qilishadi hamda sizning qayg ’urishingizsiz ham ishlari joyida ekanligini aytishdan mag’rurlar.”
There can be given another example which makes translation progress more complicated according to grammar differences of English and Uzbek.
Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbors.”
Durzley xonim ko’p vaqtini qo’shnilarini uyining panjarasi ortidan kuzatuvchilik qilib sarflaydigan daroz bo‘yli ayol.”
It would be a good comparison to represent Sh. Z. Dolimov’s unofficial translated version:
Qotmadan kelgan sarg ’ish sochli missis Durslning bo ’yni esa aksincha, haddan tashqari qiziquvchan tabiati uchun ayni muddao bo ’lib, oddiy ayolning bo ’yniga nisbatan ikki chandon uzun. Negaki, xonim birovning devoridan mo ’ralab qarash, qo ’shnilarni kuzatib, ularning sir-asrorlaridan boxabar bo ’lib yurishni o ’larcha yoqtiradi.”
Although the third pattern seems more literary and meaningful, as it is visible, this is so long for a two-and-a half line original sentence. In contrary to that, the first pattern is much shorter: one and a half line. Because with the words, as “daroz bo’yli” is “tall” which means that “the tall and with long neck.” The word “daroz bo’yli” came from the Tajik language into Uzbek. Another reason why the pattern is so short is adverb relative clause sentences. They are made up with the means of question words such as “what”, “which”, “why”, “when”, “how”, “of which”, “whom” and so on. And such sentences are suggested to be translated with the affix “-gan” to Uzbek. Hence, we can see that adverbial clauses are transformed into noun phrases (dependent ones) into the Uzbek language.
