Volunteer Profile - Dennis Frendahl

D

ennis  Frendahl  is  no  exception  when  it  comes  to  volunteering  for THE TOUR

Championship  at  fabled  East  Lake  Golf  Club.  He  is  committed  to  serving  the

community, setting a good example for his children, and having the opportunity to see the

world’s best golfers. Dennis Frendahl enjoys working outside, playing golf with passion,

and helping to leave his surroundings in a better state than they were before.

Dennis, a golf volunteering veteran of the PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic

Club and the LPGA Chick-Fil-A Charity Championship at Eagles Landing, has been a

member of the Supply Distribution committee at THE TOUR Championship since 2006.

He will be joined this year by his younger son, Bryan, for the second year in a row.  Their

assignment is to ensure that all the volunteer coolers as well all of the on-course coolers

are stocked with cold Coca-Cola products. Additionally, their committee distributes any

arriving packages to their proper destinations as well as distributing programs and pairing

sheets to the proper venues.

Dennis  Frendahl  has  been  positively  influenced  by  his  mother  who  has  provided  an

excellent example of what it means to give more of one’s self. Dennis constantly strives

to  have  fun  while  looking  for  ways  to  serve  the  public  and  those  with  specific  needs.

He serves as President, Head Elder, and Treasurer in his church and is also involved as a

Georgia Tech TEAM BUZZ volunteer. Through the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, he

mentors students and functions as the Treasurer of the Coca-Cola/Georgia Tech Club. He

also participates in the Coca-Cola Company’s volunteer activities which include working

at the MLK Center, helping with Hosea Williams Feed the Homeless events, and reading

at elementary schools.

THE TOUR Championship is lucky to have dedicated volunteers like Dennis and Bryan

Frendahl, and they feel fortunate to be able to associate with a great group of volunteers

who enjoy one another’s company. Besides, where else would you have a chance to come

face-to-face with one of the top 30 golfers on the PGA TOUR while strolling from the

parking  lot  to  the  clubhouse?  The  Frendahls  are  excited  about  the  upcoming TOUR

Championship and look forward to doing whatever they can to enhance the quality of the

experience for others.
