Write a reflective essay of about 350 words through giving the analysis on the following:

1) Reflect on how you were taught grammar or vocabulary or phonology and comment on it in the light of the relevant theories and approaches. What methods, techniques and patterns of interaction are applied in pre, while and post stages? Give examples to support your points. You can describe one of the typical lessons that you had.

2)How could the lessons be enriched? Make your suggestions on additional resources, strategies and techniques.

As we know learning new language is not so easy as it seems. It also has its ups and downs so that not always we are on the way of success. It demands a lot of training and knowledge to improve our language learning skills. In the very beginning of my learning new language if exactly English language I started attending a course where we were thought all skills of this language. Speaking-listening section, grammar-vocabulary and phonology was there. Even if we had a lot things to do and learn it was really effective way to learn new language.

And now I would like to express my opinion and attention to grammar and vocabulary section as it was one of the most important and difficult ones. In the process of teaching and learning we had various methods to improve our skills. From very beginning it was not so difficult as it turned out. But teacher used very simple ways of teaching and different methods that all of us could understand it and get easily. For example in teaching grammar we used method of comparing. So it means when we got information about Present simple and Present continues we compared two of them. We an listed similarities and opposites in order to visualize approximate picture in our mind. It was the easiest way to learn.

Additionally, when we had new words to learn we always tried to find similar words to new ones in order to make it easier to remember. And one thing that should be remembered is that our teacher had given us various pictures and phrases connected with these words and at the end we were given a task to make sentences and speech which would include these new words.

It’s important to remember that now I’m studying at 2 course and my studies specialized on teaching if exactly I can say that I’m a future teacher. So that I also have some methods and suggestions for this sphere as we had a study practice at schools and conducted several lessons. Well, it is 21st century and this is century of modern technologies. There a plenty of IT technologies connected with conducting a lesson and improving its quality. And I also prefer to use these technologies during my future classes. For example interactive boards, headphones, computers, speakers and multimedia services as well. These all are very helpful and it’s can be beneficial to save our time. There would not be need to teacher to explain one topic again and again. We just can watch the video or listen online explained lesson in order to revise all the information that gained and learn from it.

In conclusion , from point of my observation and knowledge I briefly can say that in order to achieve something or improve language learning skills students should not stop working out and learning new things every day. I believe that one day I also can recommend and share my own experience and methods with my students.
