The bar chart illustrates the sales figure of four various kinds of digital games from 2000 to 2006. Units are measured in billions of dollars.
Overall, it is clear that sales for most of the digital games experienced an upward trend, except for console games. Futhermore, Handheld games stood out from its counterparts as the most populer games over the period.
In 2000, the sales for console games started at exactly 6 billion dollars which was about the half of that for Handheld games. With negligible changes in 2001 and 2002, Handheld games witnessed a considerable increase of around 6 billion dollars from 2000 to 2003 in its sales, whereas, international sales of console games decreased marginally by roughly 4 billion dollars between 2000 and 2003. In the final year, the sales of handheld games saw a sharp growth from approximately 15 billion dollars in 2004 to a high of 18 billion dollars, while console games was the least popular games, with the sales of about 3 billion dollars.
Considering other games, despite beginning at a low of merely about 1billion dollars in 2001, the sales figure for online games rose slightly to 2 billion dollars in 2002. After that, having increased gradually to approximately 5 billion dollars in 2005, the sales of online games underwent a significant growth to around 8 billion dollars in 2006. Moreover, although the figure for mobile phones stood at about 2 billion dollars in 2002, this figure witnessed a rapid rise to approximately 7 billion dollars in the last year.

It is thought by some that skillful leaders have a natural ability to lead, whereas, others consider that leading skills are developed over time by learning. I personally believe that these abilities can be learnt by practical experiences.


On the one hand, talent is helpful for some who want to improve their ability to lead a head start. To illustrate those who were inherently extroverted will have more social connections from an early age, thus obtain more confidence compared to their counterparts. As a result, Confident and assertive people always have more influence on their listeners related to public speaking or persuasive conversations, which is an important part of being a leader. Therefore, the children who are born with such characters can be at a better starting point, while it may take longer and more effort for a timid child to make friends or talk in front of a large audience.

However, there is a stronger argument that everyone can possess the skills to manage and guide others through proper training and effort. That is why there is a larger number of institutes offering leadership training programmes helping those who want to learn the skills required to be a leader.Not only these institutes teach public speaking, but aslo, individuals who are shy and lack confidence are able to find their feet in the leadership battle by learning the essence of good body language, pronunciation in there. This will, in turn, make them better leaders. No human being has natural steadfastness, unlike self-confidence, as it only comes from an individual’s willpower and is sharpened through years of learning from real-life experience.


In conclusion, although being talented can be helpful to become a good leader as gifted people have more social connections in early age, it seems to me that leadership skills are the result of experiences because a plethora of institutes teaches people to obtain these skills.
