The capital of Uzbekistan is the largest political, economic and cultural center in Central Asia, with a population of more than 2 million. Today, Tashkent is not only a political center with a strategic international position, but also an important economic metropolis at the largest industrial-transport crossroads in Central Asia.

The residence of the President of Uzbekistan, the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as representations of foreign embassies, the UN and its international organizations are located in Tashkent. The city is being rebuilt mentally.
