The main goals of the Center are:

  • - to develop the research in areas as Labour Economics, Regional Economics, Public Economics, Economic History, Business and Corporate Finance, among others.

  • - to support Ph. D. and Master candidates as well as researchers from European and National projects.

The Center has two research locations: one in Ponta Delgada and the other in Funchal.

  • There is a bi-anual rotation between the locations for the role Research General Co-ordinator, being that the first General Co-ordinator belongs to the Universidade da Madeira.
