The pie charts illustrate the percentage of electricity that produced by fuel source in France in the years 1990 and 2010.
Overall, it is clear that there were mainly falls in the proportion of almost all natural sources beside nuclear power. The nuclear power, moreover, was the most increased natural source in these charts.
In 1990, more than half electricity production in France was corresponded in two natural sources: coal and natural gas, their proportion was 28%. Both of them, however, dramatically decreased in 2010: former source was 13%, latter was only 4%.Electricity generated by oil source was much more in the beginning, with making up 22%. This proportion declined by the year 2010, and it was 13%.
Turning to the less producing electricity sources, hydro power was the lowest generated electricity type of natural sources in both years and its proportion was only 6% and 2%.The last source of producing energy was nuclear power, accounting for 17% in 1990. The figure for this, however, dramatically grew by the year 2010, its proportion reached a peak of 67%.
