Tourism questions

The questions:

  1. Is Uzbekistan safe for tourists?

  2. How many tourists visit Uzbekistan annually?

  3. What is Uzbekistan famous for? Count them one by one and clearify why it is so?

  4. What time is the best to travel?

  5. Does everybody need a Visa to Uzbekistan?

  6. As a host what kind of cities, sightseeing places, restaurants and cafes you can recommend to tourists?

The answers:

  1. Uzbekistan is really quite a safe country to visit. Travelling in Uzbekistan solo is certainly possible and very rewarding.

  2. More than 4 million of tourists visit Uzbekistan each year (inf. 2019)

  3. Uzbekistan is the country of magnificent architecture and ancient traditions.

If you have visited Uzbekistan once, be sure you will want to return back here again. There are so many special features about the country. So here, some of them:

* Uzbekistan is one of two double-landlocked countries in the world (other one is Lichtenstein).

* Uzbekistan lies on the ancient silk road, and this is reflected in the quality of their Islamic architecture.

* Uzbekistan has a long and bloody history. The most famous and notorious leader of the country is Amir Temur (also known as Temurlane). His military campaigns have been credited for wiping out some of 5% of the world's population at that time.

4. Uzbekistan is best visited during Spring and Autumn (as it's typically warm, either hot or cold)

5. Not all, but a lots of countries must have a Visa to enter Uzbekistan, including US and European countries.

6. Uzbekistan is the best visited country in Central Asia. There are a lot of ancient cities, priceless values and traditions that are admitted by UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE. For example, Samarkand (mythical city, the sumptuous capital of Temurid Empire Samarkand played an important role in the development of Islamic architecture and arts. The city is a symbol of ancient history which dates back more than 3500 years. You certainly won't want to miss Registan Square, which is the symbol of not only city, but also whole Uzbekistan), Bukhara (has been an important base for Islamic technology and science as well as having a large impact on the Islamic World in the Middle Ages. World-renowned scholar Avicenna was born near Bukhara and grew up there), Khiva (is the first UNESCO world HERITAGE site in Uzbekistan was inscribed in 1990. Here, in Khiva the scholar Al-Khoresmi, the father of algebra, was born and introduced algorithms to the world), Shakhrisabz (this flourishing city of the Temurid Empire is the birthplace of great medieval conqueror Amir Temur), Fergana valley (has been and still is an important crossroads for different religions, cultures and nations) and of course the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent (the large metropolis, the real symbol of ancient history and modern development, the Capital of Islamic World in 2007).

So, I strongly recommend to each tourist who visits our breathtakingly beautiful country, to travel Uzbekistan wholly, because every city of lur country, either large or small it is, can give you unforgettable memories, I believe.
