There are two types of apporoach to know truth. Inductive and Deductive reasoning.

In Inductive reasoning, We come across diverse situations and finally conclude all and determine truth. For instance, You visit local shopping centre and see them wearing Football jersey on Friday, and next week you visit there again and see the same clothes. You finally notice that shopping centre’s stuffs wear Football jersey to support their local team.

In Deductive reasoning, knowledge can move the opposite. You read a news about shopping centre that stuffs of the shopping centre wear Football jersey to support their local team every Friday, and you visit there and you expect to see stuffs wearing Football jersey.

To sum up, In two types of reasoning you determine general truth about situation.However, approach and result can be diffirent.
