1.Tell us about yourself, your background and interests
My full name is Kuldoshev Sukhrob. I am third-year at Institute, majoring economy. It has been one year now since I started working a part time job. I work in Experiential Marketing. I absolutely love what I do. Because it is the type of job that really lets me utilize all of my talents.

2.Why do you want to study in the USA?


I am highly motivated to study in the USA. Because USA has the most high quality education in the world, unique curriculum, abundant opportunities. Thatʼs why I think USA education helps me to study my subject in depth.

3.Why did you choose FulBright and not any other scholarship?


Because FulBright awards to individuals with outstanding leadership and influencing skills from around the world. So I am interested in FulBright in order to better prepare myself for a future career. I think this scholarship would give me great opportunity for professional development by further diversifying my skillset, challenging me, and overall giving me new prospects outside of all my knowledges I gained at bachelorʼs degree in my country.

4.What are you looking forward to most about studying in the USA?


During my study in the USA, I am planning to get PhD
in economics and to have work experience in my field.

5.What can you add to the USA through FulBright?


In the period of Chevening I can make a number of proposals
to make USAʼs middle and lower income groups feel less of
the effects of inflationary pressures. For examle, besides
public programs such as raising public funds for childcare,
widening the income eligibility for public programs, expan-
ding to cover for middle and lower income households with
financial support and lending for weather-proofing
and retro-fitting housing, it is necessary to increase
the volume of investment in business dealing with food
and household appliances. The government should also
pay more attention reducing income disparities among the
population.

6.What activities would you do while being in the USA beside academics?


US culture very interesting to me. So I would travel all over
the US

6.1 What do you think you can bring to the FulBright?


Maybe I will be attract more talented youngers to the FulBright

7.How will the US benefit from selecting you as an awardee?


I can bring new ideas to various sectors of the US economy
such as banking and finance

8. If you are awarded FulBright scholarship, how will your country benefit from this?


I will apply my knowledge and experience I gained in the US
in my country

9.What do you think is the main difference between the US and your country in terms of culture?


I think, the biggest difference between the cultures of the US and
my country is in national foods and clothes

10.Tell me 3 cultural values/aspects of USA that you admire?


The US has many cultural values I appreciate. Three of them the most I admire are individual freedom and self-reliance, equality opportunity and competition, the American dream and hard work

11.What do you think is the most challenging thing regarding your field in your country?


To be honest, there are lots of challenging things and problems
in the economy of my country. To my mind, the most challenging
is inflation. Because in my country prices are mainly formed under
monopoly conditions, not free market conditions.

12.What challenges do you think you may have while studying in the US? Can you successfully complete a master’s degree in the US?


May be I may have financial challenges while studying in the US.

13.Give us an example of your leadership/influencing skills


I have the ability to prevent conflicts and bring a positiv mood
to the team by analyzing the problem in depth, mainly in times
of disagreement and depression within the team.

15. How will you know if a specific university is suitable for you or not? Do you have any criteria?
It is important to me that the internal system of the university.
I think there should be a balance between strictness and freedom.

16. Why did you choose the subject/particular area of study?


Firstly, I have an innate curiousty in economy. Secondly, My biggest dream is for my people to live richly and prosperously and I want to contribute to this

17. You can equally work in your chosen sector (s) now with a degree, why do you need a master’s degree?


I want to study economy in depth and in the future I also intend to do a PhD

18. What hands on experience do you have in your subject area?


I have been working in marketing for a year and I did an internship at the bank for two summers.

18.1 What is currently happening in the US in your field of study?


There are 6.5% annual inflation in the US and GDP increased at annual rate of 2.9%.

19. Have you gotten an admission offer from your chosen university courses?

20. What is your plan after getting FulBright?


To rise my career in field of economy
21. What are your expectations in the coming year?
Apart from continuing to study my subject, to learn python programming language.

22. What are the problems in your country and how do you hope to benefit your country after returning from the US?


In my opinion, the biggest problem of my country is low income of population. This problem is directly related to business barriers, tax pressures and perfectionism politics. After returning from the US, I will do scientific research on these problems and prove that they are harmfull to the economy

23. Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?


In the first 2-5 years I am going to continue to study and do scientific work. In the next 5-10 years I will work for US and gain more experience.

I would reduce the powers of the president and decline the influence of the powerful structures in the country. I would ensure the independence of the parliament and judiciary and increase their position in politics.

27. Give us an example of an internationally recognized leader and another who is close to you and their potentials that made them to succeed.


I will not give a specific example. Because I think, all internationally recognized people read very many books and they put the interests of society above themselves.

28. How can your country contribute towards the world of international politics?


My country is one of the main members such organizations as Commonwealth of Turkic States, Commonwealth of the Independent States and the Shanghay Cooperation Organization. We have occupied an important place in the political and economic relations among the members of these organizations

29. Do you want to change the order of ranking of your university courses?


I will do my best to increase the order of the ranking of my university
