Listen and fill in gaps

The Joneses are a typical English 1.Family. Mother Sally is 35 and she is a part-time secretary. Father Mike is 37 and works in an 2.Office. Sally is a very busy with her job and the housework, so she doesn’t have time for any 3.­­­­Hobbies. Mike likes doing things in the garden and4.Repairing things in the house, but he sometimes goes to the pub with his friends. They have two children: Jason, who is seven and likes football and video games, and his sister, Jane, who is six, and likes playing with her Barbie dolls. They have a cat 5.Called Snowy.

There is no work or school on Saturday and the family 6.Usually goes somewhere for the day- a walk in the country or a day at the beach. On Sundays , they visit friends and family. In the Summer, they go on holiday to Spain for two 7.Weeks.

The family has dinner together at 8.6:30 past six. The children’s favourite dinner is chicken and chips, but Sally prefers spaghetti. On Sundays, they always have traditional roast beef or roast lambs. Sally 9.Cooks and Mike cuts the meat.

After dinner, they watch TV. They enjoy comedy programmes and soap operas and they always 10.Watch the lottery results. One day they will win and move to a bigger house.

Christmas is only a few days away and the two children in the Robinson family feel very excited and are impatient for it. Their mother has baked them a very large and delicious Christmas cake. She has shown them how to make colorful ornaments for their Christmas tree. Tomorrow she will take them out shopping in the High Street as she is planning to purchase new clothes for them to wear on Christmas Day. Mr. Robinson gave Tommy and Irena some money last week so that they could buy themselves lots of balloons and streamers to decorate their house.

I live in Khorezm region. Our native town is Urgench. Urgench is a very beautiful and light city.There are a lot of Universities, Colleges and schools in our native town. In the evenings I go for walks through Urgench park with my friends. It is very e[citing place for children and adults. I am very proud of my native town.
