     A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF POINT 

                 ROBERTS WATER DISTRICT NO. 4 OF WHATCOM COUNTY, 

 

     WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING REVISED WATER METER 

                 INSTALLATION CHARGES AND REPEALING RESOLUTIN NO. 

                 546. 

 

 

 

WHEREAS, Point Roberts Water District No. 4 ("District") has established charges 

to install water meters to provide water service to District customers; and 

 

 

WHEREAS, The District now desires to update and increase the charges for the 

installation of water meters where a service currently exists and for full installations of 

water meters to fully recover the costs incurred by the District for such installations, 

including the cost of permits from other governmental agencies owing or controlling the 

right-of-way in which meter installations may occur; now, therefore, 

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Point Roberts Water District 

No. 4, Whatcom County, Washington, as follows: 

 

 

 

1.  Existing meter Service:  The following schedule of charges shall apply 

                             To all meter installations within the District not requiring the installation 

                             Of a water service line or meter box:

                             As determined by the District based on actual installation cost plus  

 

 

     twenty (20) percent for overhead expenses. 

 

          

2.  New/Full meter installation:   All full meter installations (service line or  

 

 

     meter box) shall be charged at the rate of the District's actual time and  

                             Material charges incurred plus twenty (20) percent for overhead  

 

 

     expenses.  Additionally, any party or applicant for water service requiring 

                             a full meter installation shall deposit with the District the sum of  

 

 

     $2,000.00 ("Deposit") before initiation of the installation, together with a 

                             non-refundable fee of $150 for right-of-way or other permitting fees or 

                            costs incurred by the District from other governmental agencies owing 

                            or controlling the right-of-way in which the meter installation may occur. 

                            The Deposit shall be applied to actual charges incurred by the District, 

                            provided the applicant shall be required to pay to the District any fees,  

                            costs and charges exceeding the Deposit prior to receiving District water 

                            service. 

 

                       3.  Original Developer installed meter services, or any existing meter  

 

 

    services which have not been active for 15 years or longer, shall be  

                            replaced with all new materials. 

 

                       4.  District Resolution No. 546 is hereby modified, amended and    

 

 

    superseded to be in accordance with the provisions of this resolution. 

 

                      5.  This resolution and the policies, fees and procedures set forth herein 

                            shall be effective on the date set forth below. 

 

 

 

ADOPTED by the Board of Commissioners of Point Roberts Water District No. 4 

Whatcom County, Washington, at the regular open public meeting held on September
