  1. What did you learn in history lessons when you were at school ?

  • I remember vividly that , we learned not only dates , facts and stories but training that allows you to think critically , investigate issues , ideas and people . We used to do solid research in libraries analyzing the mistakes and achievements of the older civilizations not to repeat their mistakes . As the saying goes , “ the past teaches us about the present “ .

  1. Did you enjoy studying history at school ?

  • Yes, I do like history a lot. I read different history books whenever I get a chance, and important historic events often fascinate me as a reader. I'm passionate about learning important historical events and prominent personalities who have had changed the world we see today.

  • - To be honest with you , I have no interest in learning history . Back when I was still a student , history was one of the subjects I despised the most . simply because it is uninteresting – most of the time I needed to memorise a great amount of information about the significant events in the past . I think the history is not my cup of tea .

  1. How often do you watch TV programs about the history now ? ( why ?)

- I mostly like to read books related to history. But sometimes, I watch TV documentaries and movies based on real-events to learn more about history. Some of the programmes on the History Channel are quite captivating and I watch them regularly on TV. I often use the YouTube application on my TV to watch history-related documentaries.

4. What period in history do you want to learn more about ?

- Well, I would like to study further about the period when one of the greatest leaders in the world - Alexander the Great lived . I have always wanted to learn more about this significantly important historic personality but had not got the chance to explore his life. I hope I will do that soon.
Why ?
The reason I am curious about Alexander is that he was a visionary man, and he had been a successful leader apart from being a conquerer. He inspired his soldiers in a way which was so rare and the way he treated his enemies is something extraordinary. I would like to know what inspired him to keep on winning battles after battles and how he coped with conspiracies and politics all around him. With his great leadership quality, he had been one of the most prominent personalities in world history and I want to learn everything about him and his life.
5 . Have you ever been to historical museums ?

  • Sad to say , I have never been to a historical museum ever . For me , it is just very tedious having to stroll around the whole building just to take a glimpse at some odd- looking pictures and things that I ``m restricted to touch . Maybe some day , I might be fascinated with it .

  • Yes , I have been to some but it was down memory lane . As far as I can recollect in mind , it was a mandatory co – curricular activity back when I was in primary school . we always had an off-site visit to some historical museums within our city . Well , these days , I don`t visit any types of museums like others do since I am not a huge admirer of this type of pursuit .

  1. What sort of things can neighbors do to help each other ?

- In many ways, neighbours are most important to us. They live near us and thus they are even more important than our relatives in many cases. They can have good conversations with us, help us in any danger and support us mentally and financially. For example, if someone gets ill and need to be taken to a hospital, a good neighbour would be there. Some friendly neighbors share dinners, minimizing the effort it takes to cook. Others trade fruit from their trees. Finally, neighbours become good friends and would share their sufferings and joys like family members.
2. How well do people generally know their neighbors in your country ?
-When I was a child, living in a relatively new housing development, all the neighbors knew each other, and regularly interacted. Why don’t they do that so much any more? I can think of several reasons:
Firstly ,Most of the women in the neighborhood were full time homemakers. They would pop in at each others’ houses regularly just for coffee, or to borrow a cup of sugar, etc.
Secondly , kids played outside back then. When I was a young there was no TV signal near us. No one had a private phone but one or two really rich guys living up on the hill above us. There were no electronics to play with. Unless you counted my mom’s blender… At dawn in the summer I got kicked out of the house with the wonderful, inspiring words “Go play with the neighbor kids I need to get something done around here.” So I did. All day.
3 . How important do you think it is to have good neighbours ?
It’s important in the sense that you’re physically the closest help each other have in any crisis. It’s also important to keep the peace, establish boundaries that you both respect in terms of noise and space.

1 . Which facilities are important to people living in a city?

  • Most importantly , it makes life comfortable for city – dwellers when the city they live in has places for amusement , better infrastructure , education system and advance health bcare facilities .

2 . How does shopping in small local shops differ from shopping in large city centre shops ?
I think most people know that it’s almost always better to shop with local stores and small chains than at larger, big box stores—from more personalized service to a higher quality selection of products, the consumer often walks away a lot happier in the end. It also helps support the local economy, which is more important now than ever.
3 . What do you think children always should attend the school at the nearest

  • I think that choosing a school in the vicinity of the house is the smart decision for parents and a good start in life , for number of reasons . First of all , for parent there is peace of mind knowing the fact that their children are safe . Besides , a school that`s walking distance from home can be a blessing , since for most children , long commutes are exhausting , especially with the heavy traffic .
