The Role of International Transport Corridors in Fostering International Trade and Promoting Economic Growth: Evidence from Trans African Corridor linking Cairo to Cape Town

Abstract

Introduction

High Volume Transport corridors and networks make contribution to create a world-wide connectivity to inaccessible areas, boost the global trade in order to gain diversification or deliver services in every product by exchanging goods mutually, to improve the efficiency of economic growth by finding solutions to variety of problems which occur in a certain place where the situation is need of help, investment, international community or something else beneficial . It is blatantly obvious to see the higher interaction of the network in different sectors that have been brought a number of advantages to both entrepreneurs, traders, local and poorer people. International economic stability can be remained positive establishing more corridors and support them respectively. Therefore, in order to gain sustainable growth both economically and financially it is vitally important to focus on several measurement that requires significant amount of money, such as, increasing the capacity of railways, involving innovations on road infrastructures to make them smooth and comfortable creating stations, services during the way.
In practice, such as Cairo-Cape town highway of Trans African Corridor, one of the longest development corridors that comprise a length of 10,228 km, there has been evident improvement in poverty level and reduction
