The Sahara and the Gobi are deserts. They are both huge, dry places. But they are very different from each
other. The Sahara is the world’s largest hot desert. It goes through 11 countries in North Africa. This desert is
one of the hottest deserts in the world. It has strong winds, and they create big sandstorms. There are also
many sand dunes. A lot of oil is buried under the Sahara’s sandy ground. The Gobi is in China and Mongolia.
It is the fifth-largest desert in the world. In winter, the Gobi is freezing cold. Sometimes it has snowstorms.
