Biography, facts and information about Sir Thomas More 5 The contribution of Sir Thomas More in literature 16 Brief summary and analysis of the novel “Utopia” 19 The morality of the novel “Utopia” 23 Conclusion 25 Glossary 27 Bibliography 29 Introduction The theme of my course work sounds as following: “Sir Thomas More and Utopia” I have chosen this theme as in my opinion Thomas More and especially his magnum opus “Utopia” which is the most famous and it provide to all of us the best educational value among other lists of Thomas More`s literary works. With particular focus on his work, show how More presents new literary work in Renaissance period. The tasks and aims of the work. Before the beginning of writing our course work, we set the following tasks and aims before ourselves: To investigate the peculiarities of how important personality was Sir Thomas More and his career during his lifetime. To open up the literary foundation of Thomas More. To analyze the novel “Utopia”. To analyze the morality of the novel “Utopia”. Practical significance of the work. In our opinion the practical significance of our work is hard to be overvalued. This work reflects the important conception and that is connected with the whole society. Like it joins the citizens together, however not treated as singular. They are absolutely free to think independently. They are not afraid of the outside world. Overall, they reside in a harmonious state. Content of the work. The present course work consists of four parts: introduction, the main part, conclusion and bibliography. Within the introduction part, which includes two items we gave the brief description of our course work and gave general notion of the theme and the strategy. There we discussed such themes as early life, career and about relationships of Thomas More, analysis the novel “Utopia” and its morality.We also open up the contribution of the author in literature, afterwards his other well-known works which were also had a significant influence in the Renaissance period. In the conclusion to our course work we tried to draw some results from the analysis of all we researched in our main body part of our course work. In bibliography part we mentioned some sources of which were used while compiling the present work.
