Adaptation of texts in children\'s literature

CONCLUSION.
In conclusion, traditional stories like fairy tales, which were recognized as children's literature in the 19th century, and songs that were a part of a larger oral tradition shared by adults with children prior to publishing made up today's children's literature. Before the printing machine was invented, it was challenging to follow the evolution of early children's literature. Many well-known "children's" stories were initially written for adults before being modified for younger audiences, even after the widespread use of print. Since the fifteenth century, children have been the subject of a lot of writing, frequently with moral or religious implications. Children's literature is influenced by intellectual and scientific writers like Charles Darwin and John Locke as well as religious influences like the Puritan tradition.
