Wear the right clothes. 3 Don’t be late. 4 Smile a lot. 5 Don’t cross your arms. • Check the students understand all the vocabulary (demonstrate smile and cross your arms; draw pictures to illustrate wear the right clothes and be late). • Encourage the students to look back at their notebooks to remind themselves of the technique they chose in second place in Ex. A. Tell them they are going to learn the procedure on the board in this style. • Regroup the students into the different areas as you did in Ex. B and give them about ten minutes to learn the interview tips using their new learning style. • Put the students into pairs and ask them to take turns testing each other (again with their backs to the board or covering the instructions). • When the students finish, ask how many of the steps they were able to remember. reflect • Write the following question on the board: Which learning style do you like? • Give the students time to reflect on the questions individually and then elicit ideas. Encourage them to give reasons for their answers (e.g. they like a certain learning style as it is interesting ). • Finish by pointing out that this soft skill can help you in your work and career. eXtra: HOMeWOrK Ask the students to complete a free online questionnaire to learn more about their preferred learning style.
