LESSON PLAN
Topic: Entrepreneurship
Level: Pre-intermediate
Materials: Course book, internet access, computer, PPT, video
Allotted time: 80 min
Skills: Integrated
Objectives: formation of leadership and managing skills in students
Instructional Methods: controlled practice, free practice, group/individual work


  1. Warm-up.

Activity 1. Previous session review
Time: 8-10 min

Procedure:

  • Greeting and reminding the last lesson’s topic to the students;

  • Ask students to read the article and discuss the topic by dividing into several pairs;

  • Provide more phrases related to the topic and ask them to utilize these phrases while considering their opinion;




  1. While stage.

Activity 1
Time:10 min

Procedure:

  • Ask students to read an offer and try to respond it from the diagrams given in the presentation;

  • Provide more phrases and ask them to match with sentences in the offer;

  • Invite students to share the information each other


Formal instruction

  • Teacher introduces a set of phrases and new words that are helpful commonly in Entrepreneurship.

  • In order to enhance students’ comprehension teacher explains rules providing different examples


Activity 2
Time:10 min

Procedure:

  • Ask students to complete the sentences by using the correct form of the words in the first table (hierarchy);

  • Ask students to prove their answers that they have chosen


Activity 3
Time: 10 min

Procedure:

  • Ask students to scan the information in the task carefully that is given in ex.1

  • Ask students to find the names of the board members by using the notes they took while reading ex.1

  • Provide more phrases related to the topic and ask them to compare their work with other students’;


Activity 4
Time: 15 min

Procedure:

  • Ask students to read the as well as pay attention to the words in bold

  • Provide more expressions and ask them to replace the definitions in the bold with the expressions in the box;

  • Invite students to share the information each other



  1. Post-stage.

Time: 10 min

Procedure:

  • Invite students to watch the video related to the topic and ask them to make a note about essential points of video.

  • Then ask them to discuss it with their partner to check that it makes sense.



  1. Wrap-up

Time:10 min

Procedure:

  • Ask students to revise new words learned in the lesson and tell three things that they learn;

  • Assign homework to learn the words and do exercises.
