The practical results of the research are as follows: 
clarity has been made to the dates of historical events that occurred in Fergana 
in V–X centuries and caused various debates (the annexation of Fergana to the 
Ephthalite state, the campaign of the Tahirid's vizier Ahmad ibn Abu Khalid to 
Fergana, the restoration of the rule of Assad ibn Ahmad in Fergana, the activities 
of Bakr Fargani and Ayachtegin) and to the activities of some scholars from 
Fergana; 
the scientific appeal involved new information from sources about the 
activities of the Samanid governors of Fergana Ahmad ibn Asad, Abul A’shos 
Asad ibn Ahmad, Iskhak ibn Ahmad, Muhammad ibn Asad, Turkic governors 
Bakr Fargani and Ayachtegin; 
the place of Fergana in the events associated with the crisis of the Samanid 
state and the expansion of the borders of the Karakhanid state to the west was 
revealed; 
a complex of studies in Sogdian, Chinese, Arabic and Persian languages has 
been developed, facts related to political, socio-economic and cultural processes 
have been systematized. 
The scientific and practical significance of the research results. The 
scientific significance of the research results lies in the fact that it serves to analyze 
the relations between the states of Central Asia, China, East Turkestan based on 
primary sources on the history of the Fergana Valley in Chinese, Sogdian, Arabic 
and Persian, as well as to obtain a deep understanding of the history of this period. 
The practical significance of the research results is explained by the fact that 
the materials presented in it can be used in scientific research on the history of the 
V–X centuries, as well as in the creation of fundamental works, textbooks and
