ANTH 102 Introduction to Research Methods
3 credits
In this course students will learn how to conduct a research project in anthropology and reveal
patterns in the every day activities of people. They will dive deep into the complexity of their
time to find precious insights and will fly above it to generalize and form bigger pictures. This
course will familiarize young anthropologists with the methods of conceptualizing,
systematizing, categorizing, collecting, extrapolating, analysing, writing and presenting.
These skills are essential operational tools of all researchers who study the behavior of people
and want to make sense of the often confusing and complicated reality.
