Application Procedure for BSc studies in English




Application procedure for first cycle (BSc) programmes in English at Cracow University of Technology (CUT)

The following documents are to be submitted by persons applying for admission to


BSc programmes:



  1. Signed scan of online application form available on http://iro.pk.edu.pl

  2. High school degree

  3. Official confirmation that candidate’s high school degree is equivalent to Polish high school degree 1

  4. Official confirmation of legality of candidate’s high school degree2

  5. Official certificate confirming that candidate’s high school degree allows them to apply for admission to BSc studies in the country of issue3

  6. Official Transcript of Records with a legend of marks4 and education system in candidate’s home country

  7. Scan of candidate’s passport 5

  8. Medical certificate that certificates no contraindications to pursuance of studies in particular programme – obligatory only for candidates applying for Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology

  9. Official confirmation of the English language knowledge 6

  10. A photocopy of visa or temporal residence card, or permanent residence card, or other document that allows a candidate / student to stay in the Republic of Poland for the period of their studies.*

  11. A photocopy of personal insurance plan for the period of studies in the Republic of Poland – to be submitted upon the commencement of classes at CUT.*

  12. A digital colour photo (JPEG file, 236 x 295 pixels)

At first an applicant must send scans of the documents mentioned in points 1-9 to bwm@pk.edu.pl together with their official translation into the Polish language by a sworn translator.


After receiving an e-mail with information on admission to CUT the applicant is obliged to submit original documents to Ms. Anna Dębska or Ms. Agnieszka Piekarz of Cracow University of Technology (CUT) International Relations Office upon his/her arrival in Krakow.

Academic year usually lasts from 1st October to 30th June and is divided into
2 semesters: fall and spring. Fall semester starts on 1st October and lasts through mid-February. Spring semester starts on mid-February and lasts through the end of June/first part of July.



1 A) A candidate applies for a nostrification of his/her high school degree on their own at Kuratorium Oświaty in Krakow, Poland (73 Szlak Street, 31-153 Krakow, tel. +48 12 448 11 13, e-mail: kurator@kuratorium.krakow.pl)
B) In case of an agreement with particular country that waives obligation to confirm applicant’s high school degree equivalency to high school degree from country in which he/she applies for studies – applicants do not have to nostrificate their high school degrees (more information: Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej, 40 Polna Street, 00-635 Warszawa, tel. +48 22 390 35 00, e-mail: biuro@nawa.gov.pl)

 A) Apostille certificate (stamp) – countries of the Hague Convention (Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the applicant’s country establishes institutions in which the applicant can receive apostille certificate (more information at https://www.hcch.net/en/states/hcch-members)
B) certificate that confirms legality of applicant’s high school degree might be received at the Polish Embassy in the applicant’s country or at the applicant’s country Embassy in the Republic of Poland - countries that are not parties to the Hague Convention

 This certificate might be received at the Polish Embassy in candidate’s country or at the candidate’s country Embassy in the Republic of Poland

 Marks from the lowest to the highest ones that might be earned at the candidate’s home high school (also a mark that informs about not completing a course)

 Page with the holder’s photo

 Document confirming applicant’s English language competency (for example: certificate or another document confirming that a candidate graduated from a high school where English was the language of instruction)

* to be submitted to CUT International Relations Office upon arrival in Krakow
