Assignment Brief and Guidance
To evidence your development as an effective communicator you are to produce a portfolio 
which includes the following; 
•
an initial assessment of your communications skills. 
•
evidence of verbal, non-verbal and written communication which you have 
demonstrated through the first part of your course. This is likely to be assessment 
submissions and tutor feedback from other units in the qualification, or evidence from 
activities which take place outside of a formal teaching environment. 
•
a final assessment of your communication skills. 
•
a reflective statement in which you consider what aspects of your communication are 
effective and those aspects which need improving.

A 500 word portfolio which must include a minimum of two items of evidence for verbal, non-
verbal and written communication.
