Assignment Students name: Jalilov Adham Group:19/05 Task 1. Essay (minimum word length 200) Children don't learn grammar when they learn their first language but adults who learn a second language need to learn its grammar. We know our mother tongue from birth. The main reason is that our environment is always mother tongue. Therefore, children do not need to learn grammar. Then they say the simple words, the structure, and the sentences that their families use the words. But adults should learn grammar when learning a foreign language. The main reason is that they do not know how to speak the second language properly. First of all, they have to describe the sentence structure, then they have to memorize the vocabulary. Learning grammar is very important because it helps students to understand the English language better. Grammar also allows them to understand how sentences are structured. It also allows you to write good essays and articles that can be understood by people who are not good at grammar. Discuss and provide your argument. Task 2. Below you can see a table of contents of a coursebook with some functions. Think about grammar topics that can be taught together in those units. Fill the table.

I have a lot of homework. I hate math. I wish I could drop out of school. A: Well, you have to go because you need to get your diploma. B: I guess so. Hey, have you seen Benjamin? A: No. If he’s not in his room, then he must have gone out. He could have gone to the park to play basketball. It is a nice day. B: Okay. I’ll look for him there. Later. Dialogue 2. A: Hey Jake. How are you? B: I’m kind of upset. A: Why? What’s the matter? B: I lent 100 bucks to my friend last week. But he still hasn’t paid me back. A: You shouldn’t have lent money to him. It’s not good when money gets between friends. B: I know. He was supposed to pay me back yesterday, but he didn’t. He didn’t even mention it. A: I bet you he has forgotten about it. Why don’t you remind him? B: I guess I have to.
