RESEARCH - 2022 105 a limiting factor in the development of agriculture. This means that water-saving irrigation methods should be used in field conditions. It should also be taken into account that about 90 percent of the irrigated lands of the Bukhara region require proof of the possibility of using modern technologies in the irrigation of the area with different levels of salinity. Currently, an average of 4.2-4.6 billion m3 of river water is used for salt washing in the Bukhara region, and as a result, 1.9-2.2 billion m3 of it seeps into the groundwater from the region through the collector and drainage networks. causing the rise of the water level and salinization of the cultivated area. 98% of the irrigated land in Bukhara region is irrigated by pumps, water shortage in the region has a great impact on crop yield, in order to prevent this, improved modern economical irrigation technologies are used in the cultivation of corn plants, water-saving drip irrigation is optimal. It is desirable to develop a scientifically based irrigation procedure by introducing the drip irrigation method that implements it. It can be seen that in such conditions, efficient and economical use of water resources in agriculture, especially the use of water-saving technologies, including the drip irrigation system, in the irrigation of crops is required. The role of the corn crop in providing ecologically clean meat, milk and other protein-rich products to the population is incomparable. Maize is an expensive, high-yielding, multi-purpose grain crop. This type of crop is resistant to repeated replanting in the same area. In Uzbekistan, corn is grown mainly on irrigated lands. Maize is a very productive and versatile crop. It is used in the food, starch- molasses, beer, and alcohol industries. Today, large-scale scientific research is being conducted in the republic in order to develop animal husbandry and stabilize the reclamation condition of irrigated lands. In order to obtain a high yield from the corn crop, it is advisable to plant seeds imported from abroad and thereby plant varieties suitable for the unfavorable natural climatic conditions of the republic. For this purpose, scientific research is being carried out by professors and doctoral students. Since 2020-2022, it has been carried out on an area of 5 ha at the "Zarif Ota" farm in the Bukhara district of the Bukhara region. In the experiment, "NS 770" varieties were imported and planted based on the order from the Serbian state. |
