BOOKS IN OUR LIFE

We can't imagine our life without books. They play a very important part in our life.
Books are our friends. We meet them when we are very small and can't read, but we remember our mother read them for us. We learn very much from books.
Books educate people in different spheres of life. They develop our imagination, make us think and analyse. They help to form our character and the world outlook. Books help us in self education and in deciding problems of life. They make our life more interesting.
People read both for knowledge and for pleasure. Different people read different books. They help us with our lessons and work. We read serious books which help us understand the life, give us answers to questions which worry us, they make us think.
Many people enjoy so-called "easy reading"- detectives, amusing, humorous stories, fantastic. But so many people, so many tastes.
As for me, I prefer to read adventure stories, full of interesting real fact and pictures, and detectives. My favourite author is Arthur Conan Doyle with his Holmes' adventures.

NOVEL

A novel is a relatively long work of narrative fiction, normally written in prose form, and which is typically published as a book. The present English word for a long work of prose fiction derives from the Italian: novella for "new", "news", or "short story of something new", itself from the Latin: novella, a singular noun use of the neuter plural of novellus, diminutive of novus, meaning "new".
Works of fiction that include marvellous or uncommon incidents are also novels, including The Lord of The Rings, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Frankenstein. "Romances" are works of fiction whose main emphasis is on marvellous or unusual incidents, and should not be confused with the romance novel, a type of genre fiction that focuses on romantic love.

It continues the story of Louisa Clark after Will's death. She is trying to move on. She was convinced by his motivation to change, so she moved to London and got a job in an airport bar. One night, she decides to go up the roof of her building to sit alone when someone from behind her talks to her. She panics and falls off the roof. She breaks many bones and takes a lot of time to heal. After she gets well she enrolls in a moving on circle in a church and lies to everyone and tells them Will's name was Bill. Lily, Will's daughter gets in contact with her and she wants to know everything about her deceased father, whom she didn't know existed until he died. Lily wants to get to know her grandparents, so she moves in with Louisa. She hates living with her mother, stepfather, and her half-brothers. Meanwhile, Louisa gets to know Sam, the uncle of one of the boys in her moving on circle. Sam is also one of the ambulance drivers that helped save her life. As she gets to know him, a new love story begins to grow in her life. Nathan gets in contact with her and offers her a job in the USA. She interviews for this job and gets accepted. It is such a hard decision for Lou as she had just started to fall for Sam.

Fiction is the telling of stories which are not real. More specifically, fiction is an imaginative form of narrative, one of the four basic rhetorical modes. Although the word fiction is derived from the Latin fingo, fingere, finxi, fictum, "to form, create", works of fiction need not be entirely imaginary and may include real people, places, and events. Fiction may be either written or oral. Although not all fiction is necessarily artistic, fiction is largely perceived as a form of art or entertainment. The ability to create fiction and other artistic works is considered to be a fundamental aspect of human culture, one of the defining characteristics of humanity.

The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism

The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism is a fictional book in George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949). The book was supposedly written by Emmanuel Goldstein, the principal enemy of the state of Oceania's ruling party. The Party portrays Goldstein as a former member of the Inner Party who continually conspired to depose Big Brother and overthrow the government.[1] In the novel, the book is read by the protagonist, Winston Smith who recalls that "There were ... whispered stories of a terrible book, a compendium of all the heresies, of which Goldstein was the author, and which circulated clandestinely here and there. It was a book without a title. People referred to it, if at all, simply as The Book."
