Business etiquette -2000
Business etiquette Every country in the world obtains its own business etiquette and customs for negotiation and business meetings which leads to interaction in the community. In order to be aware of how to avoid blunders and stay respectful, individuals should consider and learn cultural differences and other details of business etiquette. International business customs suggest the rules and behaviors that should guide general interactions with potential business owners, entrepreneurs and clients in other countries. Besides international business etiquette there are some other unwritten manners in some eastern countries such as Japan, Korea and Turkey. Uzbekistan and China are also famous with their uniquity and identity. There are particular rules of business etiquette about punctuality, handshake firmness, how long time is needed to spend getting to know someone before starting business deals. The one needs to research a country’s customs before running business there; get recommendations from people they know who reside there or arrange business in that place. Actually, business can bring people out of their home country. They will possibly experience new opportunities overseas, and will meet ambitious entrepreneurs who do not need to be afraid of growing beyond their borders. However, conducting business with new people from some other cultures means exploring the ways in which they organize things differently. While effective way of business communication is one of the main components to succeeding in business, adapting to local etiquette is also essential. As in our culture we say little things bring us to perfection, seemingly small things, like how the person accepts a business card or what the one orders for lunch, can make or break a business relationship. In my course paper it is going to be suggested not only international business customs but many other oriental etiquette and manners which are recognized by high-cultured societies such as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia which are bows, gestures, behaviors or communication rules also followed by people in other countries. For example, while Americans often greet each other with handshakes during business meetings, people in other countries may greet each other with air kisses. Some other cultures might use handshakes but require a less firm grip. Obviously, there are some rules which are main components of main etiquette everywhere in the world and I would like to highlight some vital parts of Uzbek manners. Download 24.25 Kb.
