Potential impacts and contentious issues relating to Youth Tourism
Travel agents: travel agents may struggle for business in the future, as young travellers tend not to use them. In fact, 80% of youth tourists said they did not use travel agents for any plans (Wilkening 2010). Infrastructure: infrastructure problems are emerging from youth tourism in poor nations that attract youth tourists (for example, Thailand, Bali and Philippines) (Richards & Wilson 2004). These poor nations have restricted development opportunities due to a lack of capital, resulting in deprived infrastructure from continuous pressure on these services (Richards & Wilson 2004). Environment: studies have shown youth tourism providers have very little concern and awareness of their business actions in regards to environmental sustainability (Richards & Wilson 2004). Responsible travel: even though these impacts and issues are relevant amongst youth tourism, a youth tourists daily carbon footprint is just 9% of a business travellers (World youth student and education travel 2009)! The modern dynamics of socio-cultural processes in the youth environment is characterized by the integration of various forms of initiating the cultural activity of this social and age group, among which youth social tourism occupies an important place, combining the ability to satisfy a variety of leisure needs and socialize its participants through the actualization of historical memory, expanding cultural horizons , the formation of humanistic thinking and worldview. In this regard, it is important to study the possibilities of youth social tourism as a complex socio-cultural phenomenon that provides direct contact of young people with cultural and historical heritage, creating a special socio-cultural space for the participation of participants in tourism programs in the "big time", world spiritual and social processes concentrated in cultural loci, sights, monuments, various sightseeing objects. Such an approach to organizing youth social tourism involves studying the possibilities of organizing it as a special created social reality that contributes to the development of socially significant personality traits, the formation of positive social interaction experience, and the manifestation of social and civic activity. It is in the solution of these problems that, in our opinion, lies the essence of youth social tourism in modern conditions. These processes involve the search by young people for their own way of solving real life situations and problems in the process of tourist activities of a social orientation, in which the semantic and value meanings of various phenomena of human culture are mastered in accordance with the individual current life experience and the luggage of their own knowledge, feelings, emotions and intuition. The social practice of young people organized within the framework of tourism programs leads to the formation of stable convictions in them. Young people as a result of this practice are already capable as a result of conscious volitional actions, social activity in accordance with the interests of society. Youth social tourism has another aspect. In the process of a tourist route, the situation of meeting a new person, with new cultural objects, circumstances, norms of behavior, information, tourism can influence the process of self-knowledge of a young person. It is these "life-building" opportunities that organized youth social tourism has. The concept of "tourism" has been used in the linguistic and linguistic practice of mankind for a long time.
