1.1Classification of teaching

Education is an integral part of the society. Everyone must get an education and teaching students is not an easy profession and even to get knowledge is not easy as it sounds. So, teaching aids are necessary today. It promotes students to learn and engage them in learning in various engaging ways. The meaning of teaching aids is a tool that helps to understand both are them.

For years, only textual structure had been followed to teach, but now different types of teaching aids are available such as video audio, and others.

These different types of teaching aids require different tools such as computers and laptops to establish an interaction with students with effectiveness.

These teaching aids assist in faster learning, enhance students-teachers’ interaction, make students take active involvement etc. The importance of teaching aids are high as it combines both textual material with visual matter, audio and videos to teach students and it enhances the learning experience of students and teaching experience of teachers. Students tend to learn fast when they are taught with visual representation.

There are many types of teaching educational aids available but only a teacher has to decide with their skills which tool will work for their students.Education is an integral part of the society. 1.2 A handbook for teaching and learning Aids Education
Teaching aids are an integral component in any classroom. The many benefits of teaching aids include helping learners improve reading comprehension skills, illustrating or reinforcing a skill or concept, differentiating instruction and relieving anxiety or boredom by presenting information in a new and exciting way. Teaching aids also engage students’ other senses since there are no limits in what aids can be utilized when supplementing a lesson. As students are reading less and less on their own, teachers are finding reading comprehension skills very low among today’s students. Teaching aids are helping teachers to close the gap and hone the reading comprehension skills of their students. Using magazine and newspaper articles, prints ads and even comic books are viable teaching aids that assist in helping students comprehend text.Introduction Okebukola (2010) identifies that the activity and method of teaching and learning includes input factors – teachers, facilities, instructional materials, students, and curriculum. These input factors are combined in the process of teaching, administration, research, quality assurance, and community impact. The output shows the skilled and employable graduates, new knowledge created, responsible citizens and economic growth. Teaching and learning activity is seen in the skills, attitudes and research orientation of the students. In devising the most effective way by which knowledge content can be delivered, leaners are taught technical skills, exposed to career awareness about the labour market, equipped to have an intelligent understanding of technology and stimulate creative thinking (Ogbulogo, George & Olukanni, 2014). Recently, students have demonstrated poor interest towards learning and ability to recall what has been taught (Joseph, 2015). This could be as a result of the teaching methods used by the teacher during the teaching and learning process in the classroom.
