2005-group Toshmurodova Zulayho Classroom management: Classroom discipline By Margot McCamley The article , "Classroom management: Classroom discipline" by Margot McCamley , aims to address to demonstrate ways and methods to organize the effective classroom management and discipline. The research problem being addressed is how do we get students to behave in class and the importance of setting a code of behaviour in the classroom and the the students' comprehension. The article covers several tips and strategies to organize suitable classroom management. They are : changing students around, using software reprimands, encouraging even your worst students, not allowing yelling at the teacher in class when students know something and etc. Additionally, there are some instructions about working with bad behaviour students, such as, moving around in the proximity of the misbehaving student when the bad behaviour is persistent, not losing your temperature and not humiliate students . In terms of creating some healthy competition and encouraging peer pressure for good behavior , author gives really good example and tip for this strategy. I totally agree with these ideas of an author: remembering the control and being friendly with students , but not trying to be very close. At the end of the students evaluation, trying to mention something positive about the student and agreement on a plan or agreement going forward for how their behaviour will improve the students education. To conclude, this article covers very effective ways and strategies to organize classroom discipline and teacher's role in the organization of lessons environment. Download 15.5 Kb.
