Total_______________ Variant 7 Instructor: Toshmurodova Zulayho 2005-group Date: __.__.____ Theme of the lesson: Getting on Lesson type: Practical Level: _____ Time: 45 minutes Materials: Lap top, handouts, flashcards, projector, worksheets Aims: To extend students lexical competence by developing their ability to: Educational aim: to define the range of vocabulary related to the theme Getting on. Practical aim: to promote students working together to enhance their learning experiences; Upbringing aim: to increase cognitive flexibility, critical thinking, persuasiveness of students by constructive activities. Objectives: To learn the theme getting on; To make sentences and contexts; Lesson outcomes: At the end of the lesson students: Will be able to know the contexts relwted to the getting on. Outline: Introduction of the teachers and explanation the topic; Lead in. Brainstorming; Activity № 1. Listening; Activity № 2. Listening and choose the correct option; Activity № 3. Complete the table; Activity N° 4. Fill in the gaps; Discuss the questions; Summary; Giving homework. PROCEDURE Greeting: Time: 3 minutes Teacher greets with students, asks their mood, checks the presence of the students and takes the permission to start the lesson. 1. Introduction of the teachers and explanation the topic Time: 8 minutes Content: Teacher gives handouts to the students and gives explanation and examples according to this handout. 2. Lead in. Brainstorming Time: 3 minutes Mode of interaction: whole-class Procedure: Teacher asks questions related to the theme. 3. Activity 1. Listening Time: 4 minutes Content: 4. Activity 2. Listen and choose the correct options; Time: 3 minutes Mode of interaction: individual; Procedure: Students should listen the audio and choose the correct answer. Content: 5. Activity № 3. “Fill in the gaps”; Time: 3 minutes Mode of interaction: individual Procedure: Teachers asks questions and gives worksheets to the pupils.They should fill in the gaps. Content: 6. Activity № 4. Complete the table ; Time: 3 minutes Mode of interaction: Mixed: individual and whole-class Procedure: Teacher spreads the worksheets and students should complete the table . Content: 7. Discuss the questions Time: 5 minutes Mode of interaction: whole-class Procedure: The class should divide into 3 groups and discuss the questions. Content : Giving homework Time: 5 minutes Teacher asks to make the examples. Feedback Teacher describes how each student participated during the lesson and how they were active. Assessment: 3 minutes Teacher will assess the students according to the task fulfillment, participation and group work results. Teacher assesses the students by giving them colored cards: Excellent Good Bad TASK 2. What methods and approaches can be used to conduct a lesson with it? Why? In this lesson Teacher can use several approaches and methods. First approach can be communicative approach. A way of teaching which is based on the principle that learning a language successfully involves communication rather than just memorising a series of rules. Teachers try to focus on meaningful communication, rather than focusing on accuracy and correcting mistakes all the time. Next one is natural approach. Because this approach focuses on input, comprehension, and meaningful communication and puts less emphasis on grammar, teacher monologues, direct repetition and accuracy. In other ways, Teacher can use direct and audio lingual methods. In this lesson there are 2 activities related to listening, so these methods are effective.
TASK 3. What kind of activities, games or exercises would you add to make your lesson more interactive or productive? Why? In this lesson Teacher can use several activities and games to make the lesson more interesting and effective. First of all, Teacher should consider the age and level of students. Colorful flashcards are really useful for little aged students , for instance for 5th or 6th grade pupils. Worksheets can be also colorful for these ages.
