Специальный вопрос
1. Bводится тем же вопросительным словом, что и соответствующий прямой вопрос, и при этом
структура предложения изменяется на структуру утвердительного предложения.
2. Если начальная часть вопросительного предложения в таких временах как:
Present Indefinite
Future Indefinite
Present Perfect
то время во второй части вопросительного предлоржения не меняется, но местоимение и наречие
меняются.
He says: «What are you doing? » He asks what I am doing.
He said: «What are you reading? » He asked what I was reading.
He says to me: «Where do you go every day? » He asks me where I go every day.
He said to me: «How do you get there? » He asked me how I got there.
He has said: «Where have you been? » He has asked where I have been.
He said: «How long have you been there? » He asked how long I had been there.
He says: «What have you been doing all this time». He says what I have been doing all this time.
He said: «How old are you? » He asked how old I was.
He said: «Where have you been living all this time? » He asked where I had been living all that time.
He said: «When did you go there? » He asked when I had gone there.
He says: «How much did you pay for it? » He asks how much I payed fot it.
He said: « how many books did you bring? » He asked how many books I had brought.
He says: «Where were you yesterday? » He asks where I was yesterday.
He said: «Where were they invited? » He asked where they had been invited. (Poice Vossive)
He says: «When will you go there? » He asked when I shall go there.
He said: «When will they return? » He asked when they would return.
He has just said: «Who will help us? » He has just asked who will help them.
