Developing writing skills based on the project methodology of teaching a foreign language

Fill in the Blank. Fill in the blank is technique which teacher gives a type of question or phrase with one or more words replaced with a blank line, giving the reader the change to add the missing word. For example in a text which has blank word, so the students have to write the appropriate word in order to suitable with the text. In teaching classroom, method and technique are different. According to Fauziati stated “writing as process is oriented towards work in progress and the development of new skills, rather than merely evaluative tasks, the classroom practices vary from each other; these often depend much upon the students’ experiences and skills when planning and adjusting their writing program. Robert stated that writing is an efficient learning process which is utilized to communicate information, clarify thinking, and learn new concept and information.For instance, a book report is usually a type of descriptive writing, and an essay on dinosaurs might include both informative and perhaps persuasive writing. Teaching Writing Skills in Preschool to Second Grade Young students sometimes find it difficult to making the transition from speaking to writing. Speaking is so immediate, so detailed, so easy. When writing becomes part of a child’s world, there are conventions that suddenly come into play – – punctuation, spelling, grammar. It can be a struggle to explain things without hand gestures or intonation. They must find a way for their voice to come across on a piece of paper or a computer screen.The easiest part of teaching writing to young children is by continually reading to them. Have discussions about what you are reading together. Let them try to figure out what it is the author does to make his or her story compelling.


CONCLUSION
To sum up, I can say that the English language and the situation itself, in which it happens to be involved in the 21st century, are unique, indeed. None of the languages before has gained the same spread and popularity within such a short period of time. Knowledge of english not only contributes to the international ties of the country, it also facilitates smooth communication among academic communities. Today, English language is performing the function of this bridge among the academic and scientific researchers from all the corners of the world. The younger generation of our republic can enjoy vast opportunities with the knowledge of English. Moreover, it is the obligation of the academic communities to deliver the rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbek people to the world by translating the literature and academic works of our national scholars and ancestors into the English language — a very effective approach to promote the country in the international arena. In conclusion it should be noted that there are several tasks to implement the main directions of reforms.
Nowadays it’s crucial that teachers need to revisit the factors which are expected to improve the standards of higher education of English, the modernization of the content and structure of higher education of English. The specialists need to work out new internal mechanisms, applying the elements of other systems, to implement the best practices and recommendations on innovative educational technologies, to assess primary standards, to refresh educational process by means of modernizing educational system personnel and developing international cooperation in the sphere of higher and specialized education of English. On the basis of the material collected the following conclusions may be inferred: Writing is one of the key language skills that pupils should acquire in the process of learning a foreign language. Moreover, it is not only the goal of education but also a means of learning a foreign language as while speaking pupils review knowledge and letters, vocabulary and grammar, memorize the strategies of writing skills .
Writing skills are the cognitive processes that a learner uses in making sense of vocabulary and writing. To learn writing effeciently language learners should be master of vocabularies and grammar and the ability to write correctly. To make teaching writing effective it is advisable to focus on one skill at a time, explain the purpose of given tasks, establish connection with the previously acquired knowledge and skills, make usage of visual and writing aids.Teachers should also keep in mind that writing is not an easy skill that encouraged them to respond to the skills, questions not just to the language, to make sure that tasks correspond to the topic and level of the pupils etc.
The procedure of introducing writing skills to pupils may take the following route:
step 1: word introduction →
step 2: pupil-friendly explanation →
step 3: illustrative examples →
step 4: checking understanding.
Teachers should be very reasonable and careful with error correction and choose the most suitable for the case as it may psychologically influence learners. The correction may be made by the teacher or another pupil during or after speaking. All the things considered, writing is a language activity and ought not to be divorced from other language activities. To know writing skills in English second-language pupils need to learn to think in English. The methods of any teaching writing lesson should be chosen according to the learner’s level of skill development.Teaching writing is a job for an expert who has to create conditions whereby learners can learn and develop their writing skill.
