INTRODUCTION
Several areas of knowledge are determined every year in Uzbekistan, the development of which is given priority attention. This year physics and foreign languages have become such areas.
Uzbekistan’s policy of openness, active entry into the global market, expansion of international cooperation in all areas increase the need for studying foreign languages.
Teaching in foreign languages is conducted in 25 higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. In 2016, there were only 7 such institutions. Over the past 3 years, the number of applicants who have received a language certificate of international level has increased tenfold.
This year 350 students received grants to study at prestigious foreign universities through the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, which is five times more than in previous years.
“The time has come to create in Uzbekistan a new system of teaching foreign languages, which will become a solid foundation for the future. Since we set ourselves the goal of building a competitive state, from now on, graduates of schools, lyceums, colleges and universities must be fluent in at least two foreign languages. This strict requirement should become the main criterion for the work of the head of each education institution”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
It was noted that an Agency for the Promotion of Learning Foreign Languages will be created under the Cabinet of Ministers. The agency will be engaged in the introduction of proven methods, programs and textbooks into the education system, and will organize training in at least 10 foreign languages based on the needs of educational institutions, industries and regions.
David Copperfield and his life story have appealed to readers of later centuries, and the novel allows them to witness 19th century life and how David struggles to survive in this society. This story about a little boy searching for his identity in circumstances familiar from the personal fragmentary memories of his readers made it more interesting for the readers of the series. Dickens' enthusiasm for portraying heroism has persisted, and David is about to embark on an adventure into a world his readers were familiar with, to ensure that they will enthusiastically follow the serialization. The ridiculous incidents that occur with David invite readers to discover that they themselves are “somewhat like Copperfield,” demonstrating “the value of self-denial and patience, calm endurance of inevitable troubles, strenuous efforts against diseases that can be corrected.”
Thus, the degree to which David's story entered the market depended on Dickens ' ability to make modern popular culture available to his readers in the form of autobiographical novels. When Dickens began writing David Copperfield in 1849, readers may learn from his author the story of Mr. Esquire and his Pickwick Club from The Pickwick newspapers or the story of a poor orphan boy from Oliver Twist. He was eventually praised for the success of David Copperfield, and he became a successful writer. As John Forster, a close friend of Dickens and a personal biographer, put it, “Dickens never enjoyed such a high reputation as after the completion of Copperfield.” Indeed, David Copperfield created the reputation of Dickens thanks to the story of young David, which is similar to the story of young Oliver in the sense that they are both the main characters-boys, fate deprived them of childhood happiness. However, David is very different, because he is especially looking for his true self to become an adult man, while Oliver is just struggling to survive in circumstances beyond his control in a cruel society, and part of the success of the novel is that it uses many cases from Dickens' personal life. This article will examine Dickens' use of the "Bildungsroman" genre as a visual medium successfully depicting the life of David Copperfield.
The arbitrary suffering of innocent people creates the most vivid scenes in the novel. As his guardian, Mr. Murdstone can use David as a factory worker because the boy is too young and depends on him to disobey. Similarly, the Salem House boys have no way to stand up to the cruel Mr. Creakle. In both situations, children deprived of the care of their real parents suffer at the hands of their own supposed protectors. The weak in "David Copperfield" never escape the domination of the powerful by directly challenging them.
