Article 25.
Everyone shall have the right to freedom and inviolability of the person.
No one may be arrested or taken into custody except on lawful grounds.
| Article 39
Every Afghan shall have the right to travel and settle in any part of the country, except in areas forbidden by law. Every Afghan shall have the right to travel outside Afghanistan and return, according to the provisions of the law.

The freedom of person of citizens of the People's Republic of China is inviolable
| Article 62. Freedom of movement
Freedom of movement, residence and emigration is guaranteed.
No citizen may be expelled from state territory or banned from returning thereto.
