Graduand candidates
If the Programme Regulations allow it, students from Sapienza University of Rome or from 
other Italian universities who have not graduated yet can also apply for the entry requirements 
assessment, subject to the obligation to gain their degree by January 14, 2023 (for Sapienza

University of Rome graduands) and by December 17, 2022 (for graduands coming from other 
Italian or international universities). 
International candidates 
Procedures for candidates coming from foreign countries are indicated in paragraph 6.
2. 
Admission requirements 
Admission to the Master's Degree in 'Cultural Heritage in the Near and Middle East, and in 
Africa' is subject to holding a bachelor's degree, three-year academic diploma, or other 
educational qualification obtained abroad, deemed adequate.
Basic understanding of archaeological sciences, ancient histories, languages, and literatures 
of the Mediterranean and Western Asia, including Egypt. Support for the integration of 
students from different bachelor's degree classes and different Italian and international 
universities will be provided. 
For admission to the Master's degree, candidates are required to have acquired at least: 
- 84 ECTS in the subjects within the scientific-disciplinary sectors L-OR, L-ANT, L-FIL-LET, L-
LIN, INF/01, IUS/09, M-DEA/01, M-GGR/01, SPS/08, SPS/10, SPS/13, SPS/14 (or equivalent 
to these for international students); 
- 6 ECTS in the subjects within the scientific-disciplinary sectors BIO, CHIM, FIS, GEO, ICAR, 
INF, ING-IND, ING-INF, IUS (or equivalent to these for international students).

Entry requirements assessment 
The entry requirements assessment is requested by paying a €10 fee within one of the 
following dates chosen by the student:

September 15, 2022 (only date available for non-EU students applying for a 
student visa)

October 13, 2022 
- 
November 15, 2022 
- 
December 15, 2022 
- 
January 17, 2023 (date available only for Sapienza University graduands and 
graduates).
