Congratulations for your admission to our Degree Programme!
We hereby provide you with some information that will help you through all
the necessary steps before
your departure and arrival in Pisa to start your MSc course.

Before departure
1. Pre-enrolment procedure
Once you have received the Admission letter from your Master’s Degree Programme in Pisa, as a
NON-EU citizen
residing abroad (out of Italy), please start the pre-enrolment procedure on the Universitaly
portal
https://www.universitaly.it/
managed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR -
Ministero dell’ Università e della Ricerca). Pre-enrolment is necessary, to apply for a study visa.
Part 1: Registration
1. Register on the portal
https://www.universitaly.it/index.php/registration/firststep
. Enter your personal data
as stated in your passport.
2. You will receive an e-mail at the e-mail inbox you declared during the registration stage. Follow the
details in the e-mail and set the password.
3. Once you have set your password, your registration will be completed, and you will
be redirected to
your personal area.
4. Go to
https://www.universitaly.it/index.php/
homepage. You can start filling out the Pre-enrolment
application by clicking on International Students 2023 (you might see 2022 instead of 2023)> Pre-enrol
now.
Part 2: Pre-enrolment
Once you have clicked
on Pre-enrol now, you will be directed to step A
for
your pre-enrolment application; in
step A, please:
•
select the academic year (
2023- 2024) and double-check your personal data;
•
leave the tax code (Codice fiscale) blank, if you do not have it yet.
In
step B, please:
•
fill out the data regarding your passport and upload a passport- size photo and a valid passport;
•
select the Italian Embassy/Consulate in the country where you reside and will
apply for the study VISA;
•
specify the reason for your visa application: “I want to enrol in a course of study”;
•
select “University of Pisa” and the Master’s Degree (Laurea Magistrale) you have been admitted to (even
in the event you have been admitted to Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna);
•
as for the language, select EN (English), as the Degree Programme you have
been admitted to is held in
English;
•
leave blank the ID account at the selected University.
In
Step C, please upload, the following documents one at a time:
•
Your
Bachelor’s Degree diploma;
•
the
University Transcript of Records, with all the exams passed during your Bachelor’s Degree;
•
the
Admission Letter you have received from the Master’s Degree Programme in Pisa (upload this
document in the section “others”). Please note that your pre-enrolment will be
validated only after
submitting this document;
•
Grant/scholarship Declaration,
if any;
•
the Declaration of value (DoV) if you already have it
or the
CIMEA certificate of comparability
