Curriculum vitae, recommendation letters, secondary school certificates or diploma are NOT required, as you have already received the Admission Letter from the Master’s Degree Programme in Pisa. After uploading all necessary documents, click on summary cross-check your pre-enrolment application, and proceed by clicking on SUBMIT. Please note that, once you have applied on the Universitaly web portal, you cannot edit, amend, nor upload new documents; in the event of missing documents or incorrect uploading, you will be emailed by the Universitaly portal in order to allow you the uploading the missing or incorrect documentation. Lastly, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Please, note that the first part of the e-mail text will be in Italian and only after in English. Click on the link in the e-mail to be redirected to your personal area of Universitaly web portal; login and you will find your digitally validated pre-enrolment request (the Summary, in pdf format); print the summary of the Universitaly pre-enrolment as you will need it for your VISA application. Part 3: VISA application Last step is to apply for study VISA. You must check the Italian Embassy website of the Country where you reside or contact the Embassy and follow the instructions to start the procedure to apply for a type D study visa for "university study/enrolment”. Please note: our university cannot intervene in the Embassies’ timeline and document review. Be aware that without a valid long stay visa letter D you cannot enrol at the University of Pisa. We recommend you to pre-enrol on the Universitaly web portal as soon as possible in order to have University of Pisa validation. 2. Student VISA and tax code An entry VISA is your authorization to enter Italy. For staying periods longer than 90 days, a type D VISA is always compulsory. Non-E.U. citizens holding an Italian type D VISA must apply for a Residence Permit (Permesso di Soggiorno) within 8 working days after their arrival in Italy. To obtain a VISA for study purposes for university enrolment (type D “national”), you are mainly required to submit the following documents at the Italian Embassy you are applying to: • the Summary of your pre-enrolment request: to find it access with your credentials on Universitaly web portal. You can see and print it only when the University has digitally validated your application. • the proof that you are provided with sufficient means of subsistence of no less than € 467,65 for each month of the academic year (euro 6.079,45 yearly), submitting a bank statement or a grant declaration. • the proof that you have an adequate accommodation in Italy (a confirmation that you have booked or you already have an accommodation in Italy) • the insurance coverage for medical treatment and/or hospitalization, repatriation clause. Please note: after your arrival in Italy you can voluntarily register to the Italian National Health Service (SSN – Servizio Sanitario Nazionale), only if accepted by the Italian Embassy in your Country.
