Giving information about relative clauses
Relative clauses give us more information about someone or something. We can use relative clauses to combine clauses without repeating information.
Relative clauses are attributive subordinate clauses that begin with relative pronouns (relative pronouns) or relative adverbs (relative adverbs).

  • who/that/which – qaysi

  • whose – kimning

  • when – qachon

  • where – qayerda

  • why – nima uchun

We can use relative clauses to join two sentences or to give more information about something. We use relative clauses to describe peoplethingstimeplaces or reasons. Relative pronoun comes after the noun it describes.

  • For example:

  • The boy who won the prize was happy.

  • Those jeans which you want to buy are really expensive.

Relative clauses can be identifying or non-identifying. Identifying clauses give essential information. The sentence will not be complete without them. Non-identifying clauses are more often used in written English than in spoken English. They give extrai nformation we do not usually need to understand the sense of the sentence. They usually go between commas. Non-identifying relative clauses can use most relative pronouns but they can’t use ‘that’.
Identifying relative clause:
expresses important information; without it, the sentence is not complete in meaning.
Example:

  • This is the new car that I bought yesterday.

  • The ring which he bought for her is beautiful.

  • The book that you see on the table cost me twenty pounds.

Non-identify ingrelative clause:
expresses additional information that can be dispensed with; separated by commas in a sentence; not used with that.
Example:

Johnwho plays football, is always busy at weekends.

Email device
A wireless email device is an electronic gadget or tool that allows a person to access his or her email when a computer is not available. Wireless devices are used daily by business owners, students, and anyone who may find themselves constantly on the run.
Depending on the wireless email device, the features available can vary. Some only provide email access, while other devices allow users to download and edit documents, connect to a PC via a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port, and listen to music. Features of wireless email devices can include touchscreens, keyboards, and stylus-controlled applications.
